  • "There were a lot of flies in the property and although the fly swat was very useful."

..a can of fly spray would have been useful...however it was probably just that time of the year!! House was great but we found it difficult to find a pub that was open for a meal in the evening due lack of staff so recommend you eat in !!!

Thank you so much for your feedback. We agree that most areas of the Lakes can suffer with flies at certain times of the year, but we do find that closing doors tends to keep them out of the house and less bothersome. The local pubs since lockdown do seem to have different hours for food, so we would always recommend checking their websites and booking ahead to avoid disappointment. Thanks again for feeding back your comments. Property Owner

A little disappointed that the garage pictured was not useable as we had 2 Kayaks and bikes.

  • "The property is spacious and comfortably decorated."

It’s been recently renovated for renting, and it’s been clear that a great deal of thought and consideration has been given to making the property as comfortable as possible for guests, and providing every amenity. The mattresses where firmer then we were used too, but the bedding was very comfortable. We had two small children with us, but the property is perhaps more suited to older children, as one bedroom is quite a way from the others and there are lots of fragile decorations. The house was well heated, but is entirely based on individually programmed electric radiators. There isn’t a way of chasing this without turning each one off and on, and no explanation is given on how to reprogram them to your needs. The house is well situated in the Lake District close to many attractions, and is easy to reach by main roads. It is however situated directly on a main road, and although there is a mirror to help with coming and going, again it’s not suited to small children.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is much appreciated. As we are new to this it is great to have constructive feedback on anything that we may be able to improve. Thanks again. Property Owner

As the skies grow darker, retreat indoors and settle down for the evening with a sumptuous spot in front of the telly in either of the sitting rooms, with a blockbuster-classic playing in one and a cartoon playing in the other, or escape into the pages of a good book in the reading nook on the landing.
