The property

The front door opens to the hallway that links the ground floor living space.

The paneled, dual aspect lounge has comfortable sofas arranged around the TV and in front of the two electric log burning stoves, patio doors open from here directly to the garden.

The large family dining room is ideal for special celebration dinners or relaxing family breakfasts.

The well appointed kitchen is well equipped for the size of the house.

All the comfortable and welcoming bedrooms include ensuite facilities.

The first four are located on the first floor with the final two being located on the second floor.

To the side of the house there is a large lawned garden with mature shrubs and trees along with a patio with outdoor garden furniture.

A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is shared with the neighbouring property as is the electric car charging point.

Private parking is available for five cars. The popular “foodie” village of Cartmel is less than a ten minute drive from the cottage with a great choice of award winning eateries and country pubs accompanied by artesian foods shops.

Garden lovers will head to the nearby Holker Hall and Lake Windermere is only a few minutes drive from the cottage.

Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.
