“My partner and I booked this holiday as we couldn’t get abroad this year.”
It was amazing! Very clean and cosy. The log fire and hot tub made it worthwhile. Will definitely be back!
It was amazing! Very clean and cosy. The log fire and hot tub made it worthwhile. Will definitely be back!- Miss Macdonald, October 2020
“The attention to detail in the pods was superb, right down to the heated towel rails, plug sockets locations and bed side tables.”
Having a log burner, en suite, hot tub, bbq and microwave plus the great views was brilliant. Our pod was 1 of 2 that welcomed dogs. Kirby Lonsdale is a lovely little village with some very nice pubs and restaurants - just outside we liked the Pheasant - great food and dog friendly. Perfect base to explore the South Lakes.- Mr Law, September 2020
“Photographs of the site need updating.”
There are more pods than expected as the site is increasing. This was not a problem but the photographs were misleading. That being said the site was very pretty and parking was close to the pods. It was a very well kept little site of 8 pods. Inside the pod is really cute. The open plan gives ample room for 2 and the lay out is well thought out. Very comfortable and relaxing holiday, ideally situated for walking and visiting the Lakes and Dale's. The hot tub is wonderful for relaxing, de-stressing and soaking aching muscles after a day enjoying the country side and fresh air.- Mrs Schofield, August 2020
“We had a lovely stay here, everyone was very friendly.”
The site itself was spotless and had great views.- Mrs Austin-poole, August 2020
“The accommodation was outstanding.”
Quite site, in beautiful surroundings. The site manager was extremely pleasNt and helpful. Will be booking again- Mrs Milligan, August 2020
“Brilliant location to discover some breath taking landscape and relax in the jacuzzi.”- Mr Peyre, July 2020
“Stayed for a wk in escape pod, everything went perfect, pod was immaculate, had everything required and fully functional, we used the gas barbeque most days and the hot tub which was really relaxing after being out and about, the grounds around the pods were kept in great condition and town is only a 5 min drive, some lovely places to eat and drink, people very friendly and helpful too, met one of the owners of the pods and he was eager to know we were happy and that all was well which it was, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit to Cumbria and definitely a stay in these pods, met all our expectations and more, they are also dog friendly, we took ours and she settled in right away, thanks for everything, had a perfect time.”- Mr Moore, July 2020
“Pod was beautiful, log burner was great, kept the place toastie warm which was great for when you came out of the hot tub on a cold evening.”
Kitchen had what was needed. Bed was really comfortable. Views amazing- Ms Deeming, January 2020
“There was an issue with confirmation being sent to the wrong email address and therefore I had to ring the contact number several times to sort this out.”
This was very annoying ringing the contact number and having to wait for all 5 options to be read through each time despite needing to choose option 1 each time. This will make me think twice about booking further properties- Mr Jones, November 2019
“Lovely cosy escape pod, which somehow manages to fit a kingsize bed and full size shower.”
The hot tub was very welcome after hill walking. It was immaculately clean and supplied with plenty of fuel for the wood burner. The caravan site it is part of is vey quiet and the owners seem to take a lot of care looking after everything. Recommended for a cosy , relaxing retreat for two.- Mr Kirkman, November 2019
“Absolutely amazing place to see some fantastic views of the Yorkshire Dales.”- Miss Dushanova, October 2019

About the location
Kendal 9 miles.
An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country’.
Note: No driving on the grass is permitted, There is a designated parking area for cars 2 minutes from the property.
