"A fantastic gem that is so much better than any feedback or photo supplied."
We did have awesome weather and the lambing season was in full flow. The kids loved it and had freedom that is seldom experienced anymore, they took full advantage of it. Wray Green has been well thought out and equipped, I'd be surprised if you were found wanting. Some comments left me confused: this place is amazing, you are staying in a sixteenth century building dating back to Oliver Cromwell. If you want 'Holiday Inn' then forget about it, but if want great views, fresh air and a connection to the outside, whilst being warm and cosy, this is the place.
Thank you so much for your glowing review, we are delighted that you have enjoyed your stay and hope very much that you will come again, we can’t always promise sunshine and lambs, but the view and the fresh air never alters! Property Owner

"I wanted to get away from things for a few days and Wray Green was perfect."
It is old fashioned with no TV reception but very good WiFi. I brought my own drinking water but it was no great issue. Simple but lovely and I would love to go again.
Owners were thoughtful and considerate.
I'm not sure why there are walls everywhere because they are not for keeping the sheep in. Their surprise appearances were the best bit of the stay.

"We were not told that the fields around the property were full of sheep as our dog chases them i have had him tied up for five days, you have me the wrong information and you should refund my money."
We had to leave the house 2 days early because of this
Thank you for your feedback.
We are sorry to hear of the problems you encountered with your dog during your stay.
The listing does advise that 2 well behaved dogs are welcome, but due to the location of the property and surrounding farmers fields the owner cannot be held responsible should the farmer move livestock into fields next to the cottage. It is regrettable that you decided to leave due to this reason. Property Owner

"Wray Green is such a beautiful cottage, with history and period features."
Plus being based in the Howgill Fells, you are surrounded with picturesque views. It’s a great base for the Lake District but also walks in the Yorkshire Dales. We even drove to the North York Moors whilst we were there, so there is plenty to go see and do. Plus plenty of walks literally on your doorstep.
I cannot recommend Wray Green enough.

"Lovely remote cottage with stunning views."
Good location for both Lakes and Dales. Beds were very comfy. Unlike the listing the WiFi was reliable and good. We couldn’t get the DVD player to work at all. Kept saying wrong region but the regions matched. Was a small thing as the fire was better than tv anyway.

"This was our second time staying at Wray Green."
We absolutely love travelling and it seemed strange to go back somewhere again so soon with so much of the World yet to explore but we all wanted very much to be there again. Wray Green cottage is simply a little spot of heaven. The booking process was so easy and it is tempting to return again and stay for a month. We love this place. The solitude and peace make your ears ring when it is not being broken by the sound of sheep calling to one another across the great expanse of the fells.

Well go back again next year. Can't fault it. The location is breath taking. Used the owners family owned pub, the Kings Head in Ravenstonedale, quite a bit. Local, excellent food and service.

"We had an amazing holiday with our friends and the dog."
. beautiful scenery, lovely walks and friendly farmer! We where lucky enough to be there to see all the baby lambs jumping around! We had a clear night on one night and the stary sky was the best I've seen... we even saw a shooting star!
The cottage was full of character and history, comfy beds and bathroom facilities.
A wonderful open fire in the living room and a log burner in the kitchen.
We had a couple of issues but the owner responded immediately and rectified these...
The only negative comment we had was the old electric arga cooker... we followed the instructions but it took us 2 hours to cook pizza and chips. . We ended up going on Utube for further instructions on the cooker. We needed to turn hob and oven on about 3/4hours before we needed it... so that caused some problems food wise in first few days... however apart from that I couldn't fault it And we would love to return! Was a magical stay... and a much needed break from the rat race! Would highly recommend. Just need some more realistic info on that cooker!

"We've visited Wray Green before so knew what to expect."
Really well equipped cottage, very thoughtfully presented. Windows are very draughty and during bad weather the cottage was difficult to keep warm. Owners had kindly left towels by the windows to mop up leaks and there were oil heaters at the property which we moved around to heat the rooms we were using. The charm and history of the property made up for being chilly! Beds are really comfortable and facilities are brilliant. Will definitely be returning.

"A genuinely unique experience to live among the wildlife and beautiful countryside despite being a stones throw from the motorway."
Standing still and hearing almost nothing save for the birds and sheep was a superb experience. A wonderful farmhouse with a mixture of basic and modern facilities and plenty of home entertainment on hand in the shape of board games, DVD's or cards. The surrounding area is breathtaking with plenty of walks or alternatively short drives to places of interest. The local pubs are very friendly and the local shepherd is willing to tell a story or two about the place. All in all a definite recommendation for a relaxing holiday, a credit to the owners.
