    “Spacious modern accomodation,good location”

    This cottage was ideal for our family gathering- from USA,France,Scotland and Liverpool.Excellent location,lots to do.well equipped kitchen,spacious rooms and hot tub to relax in. ...

    This cottage was ideal for our family gathering- from USA,France,Scotland and Liverpool.Excellent location,lots to do.well equipped kitchen,spacious rooms and hot tub to relax in. A few points House has neither a name nor number to assist locating it on arrival. No information folder about local attractions/ eateries etc No bath mats in 2 of the bathrooms No towels left for an 8 th guest who joined us for 2 nights despite our phone call to advise there would be one extra. No parasol/ sun shade in external eating area- admittedly we were very lucky with weather! Equally no bbq provided. No hanging space in one bedroom. No pre warning of unsightly building work just behind garden fence. No welcome pack despite reference to them in other peoples’ comments in book in house. We did enjoy our stay but felt the issues above displayed a certain lack of care,especially as some of above issues mentioned more than once in comments book.

The property

A well-presented semi-detached cottage, situated in a rural setting in the village of Gargrave, within four miles of the historic market town of Skipton.

This spacious cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends looking to spend time together in this wonderful Yorkshire Dales location.

The cottage features four bedrooms with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside, and one being en-suite, as well as having a separate family bathroom and ground floor shower room.

Downstairs is a cosy snug with a woodburning stove and two day beds, one with a trundle.

The well-equipped kitchen features a bespoke concrete island with bar stools, as well as a cosy seating area with bi-fold doors opening onto the patio and garden.

The separate dining area offers an intimate space with enough seating for all guests and also downstairs is a separate shower room and a utility room.

Outside, offers a fabulous entertaining area with a sixty square metre patio with plenty of furniture, a lawn and a hot tub to relax in with a glass of something chilled.

The cottage is a short walk into the village of Gargrave which offers good amenities, including shops, pubs, village greens and river and canalside walks, as well as access to the Settle-Carlisle railway line.

The market towns of Skipton and Malham, with its limestone scenery, are both close by and well worth a visit.

For lovers of the great outdoors, the area offers an abundance of walking trails, as well as the famous Three Peaks for those wishing for something a little more challenging.

With character, charm, and an ideal location, this Gargrave cottage makes a perfect Yorkshire Dales holiday base at any time of the year.

Skipton 4 miles; Settle 12 miles.

A pretty village on the banks of the River Aire, around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat including a fantastic Indian restaurant, along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Traversed by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, cycle route 68 and the Pennine Way, Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Four miles away is the ancient market town of Skipton — “The Gateway to the Dales” — with its historic castle and celebrated high street. On the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is an ideal location for walking, cycling and touring.
