The 4 bedrooms have comfortable beds and bedding, but only 3 of them have any hanging space. The bathroom and en-suite upstairs are large, with good showers. Downstairs there is a toilet with sink near the front door as well as a toilet, sink and shower near the back door. Hand towels and soap are provided in all bathrooms and the kitchen, Additional hand towels and bath towels are provided in all bedrooms. The large open plan kitchen is well equipped with plenty of storage space and 4 bar stools. The dining area has a large table with 10 chairs and is made attractive with the addition of fairy lights. The seating in the lounge area is not adequate for a house that sleeps up to 11 people. There are day beds in the snug, but these are more like beds than sofas, They have a metal rail around 3 sides and are made up with white covers. There are scatter cushions, but there is no back support. The room is useful as an additional bedroom, but does not provide comfortable additional seating. As a bedroom, it does not provide clothes storage. The outdoor space has a high fence around it, which helps to block out surrounding buildings and provides a safe space for dogs, but makes the garden feel claustrophobic. There is a large table and benches for al fresco eating and a small barbecue. The hot tub is warm and maintained during the week. There is parking for 3 cars at the front of the house, with a shared drive along the side. There are some discrepancies with the house description, eg there are only 2 televisions (lounge and master bedroom), there is no dvd player, dvd's or books and only a small selection of (tired) games. As dogs are not allowed upstairs, in an open plan house, a stair gate would be useful with young dogs (we used dining room chairs as a barrier). We enjoyed our stay at Croft Cottage (4 couples and 2 dogs) and most of the facilities exceeded expectations. However, due to various commitments, people were coming and going, so there were limited times when everyone was in the house at one time. The lounge seating then had to be added to with dining room chairs. It took 13 days for the good housekeeping bond to reappear in my account (following a reminder from me).
