  • "Our expectations were exceeded with Lake View."

It’s stunning. The view from the windows of the lake is beautiful. The apartment was immaculate with everything we required, from a Quooker hot tap to a tablet providing music apps for the room speaker. The bed was so comfortable and the jacuzzi was great after a days walk. Private parking was lovely and the canoe and table and chairs down near the water was a massive bonus. Will be back again!!

  • "Celebrated our honeymoon here for 5 nights: Amazing views from the property, the stay was perfect!"

Only one criticism, maybe have clear signs for which hot tub belongs to which cottage, as we found our neighbours in ours. But otherwise perfect

  • "We had the most amazing week for our honeymoon."

Everything was fantastic and we didn't want to leave. The location was amazing with a bonus of having a kayak to use on the lake. Having a hottub just outside the door was so convenient. The views from the picture window were amazing to take in while having a morning coffee (we loved the coffee machine so much we bought on when we got home). It was so peaceful and even though there are properties around we still felt secluded. We will definitely visit again and if anyone can't decide.... book you won't regret it! Thank you so much x

The only thing I would say is that it could do with some lights or something on the gate as its really difficult to find at night time especially if the weather is bad.

Modern, spectacular views and to be honest, better than we had even expected! The only downside for us was the bed/matress. It was really uncomfortable which disturbed both nights sleep. Apart from that the place is spot on.

  • "Everything was absolutely perfect except from the bed, the mattress was very uncomfortable and wasn’t flat had slopes going to either side and meant was difficult to sleep on."

  • "Beautiful location although would recommend car is needed to get around as no path along lake on this side."

Only downside to accommodation was the bed was awful, the mattress was hard and uneven. You can hear the other holiday apartment below and due to no signage/unclear signage those residents used our hot tub for 3 days thinking it was theirs! Other than that the sort ent itself was done to a high standard with great views across the lake!

  • "The property was stunning, immaculately clean and really was better than anticipated, views over the lake are incredible and would go as far as saying the property was undersold as truely beautiful."

Only small drawbacks were bed isn’t very comfortable, having said that I’m fussy and the fact that the property is located out of safe walking distance, due to busy road, to the town of bowness but having said that an equally godsend as very tranquil. Was an amazing week very relaxing.

  • "Stayed here as a surprise for my fiancé’s 30th birthday."

The view was spectacular, even better than I had imagined from the pictures. Kitchen was great, place was super clean. My only criticisms are the bed is noisy when you turn and sounds like the wooden slats are broken. Secondly we were so conscious of the people staying below us as we could hear every single word and footstep they took which considering they were below us it suddenly made us very aware that they would be able to hear us even more and therefore you suddenly struggle to relax. The place would really benefit from some soundproofing, we struggled to sleep until the final night when nobody was underneath us and it was deadly silent. Other than that the place was amazing, far better than I could have imagined.

Accommodation was stunning, faultlessly clean and modern and all in perfect working order. Views were stunning and the hot tub terrace was especially private. Beautiful shower room and bedroom really clean and tidy with excellent facilities and a really comfy bed. Really was an amazing few days and we will definitely be coming back! Worth every penny!

  • "The heating system was broke which led to us sleeping in 23 degrees."

Put a dampener on what was a great holiday. The sidelights leading up the stairs also turned themselves off halfway through the holiday so we struggled to see after dark.

  • "The place is beautiful, but 2 pieces of feedback you should note 1."

The heating is stuck on a high setting and the thermostat needs unlocking to be able to use it. The people onsite were unable to fix this problem so the temperature was high throughout the week. 2. The bed is very uncomfortable. For such a high end let, to have a bed with a basic wooden slat base was disappointing and should be corrected. We ended up moving the mattress into the seating area and sleeping on the floor rather than use the bedroom. I recommend you purchase a decent base for the bed as others will surely have similar concerns.

I particularly had many years without met my expectations when traveling is about. Lakeview Exceeded them. I highly recommend this place for couples who enjoy the American Comfort, everything is like brand new, the view is amazing, is very well located but quiet at the same time. Nothing bad to say but avoid hot days due is an upper floor and can get very hot.

  • "On our arrival the staff were so lovely and welcoming and even gifted us a free bottle of Prosecco as it was our honeymoon."

The property Pouper Weir itself was amazing with such great views, very clean and a lovely hot tub to use each night. The only issue we had was the heat within the property. We followed the instructions on how to turn the floor heating right down however the property was still so warm inside which made it very difficult to sleep at night. We could turn the heating right down to the lowest temperature on the control panel but it didn’t seem to have any effect. We also had a fan but it didn’t really have much effect with cooling the rooms down. Despite that though it’s such a lovely place to visit on holiday and such a lovely property.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Lake View the apartment is beautiful and the view is stunning."

However we were very disappointed that there were building works being carried out on site but were not warned about this. It meant that we had diggers driving past the apartment and also the noise. Another issue we had was being blocked in by contractors. For us we felt quite disappointed due to the amount of money we paid for the apartment hoping for a relaxing peaceful week which was disrupted.
