  • "An absolutely stunning cottage."

It has been finished to a very high standard, the setting was idyllic, the location is a great springboard for the dales and lakes and Emma (owner) was lovely – perfect.

  • "Warm and cosy cottage."

Hardly needed the heating on even in January. The hot tub was nice and hot too. Bentham is a lovely and friendly village with three good pubs. Good walks directly from the cottage along the river. So many good places in the area, we didn't manage to do all of them in a week. Ingleton Falls, cheese at Hawes, Kirkby Lonsdale, Dent, Ingleborough, Settle, and walks along the River Wenning. Three good sized bedrooms. We found the beds just right. Spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen. Really pretty part of the country and much quieter than The Lakes.

  • "This is a fantastic property which is beautifully appointed and was immaculate for our arrival."

The location and hot tub were great bonuses for us. The only thing that would have improved our stay would be the addition of a tumble dryer as we have a newborn and were frequently doing clothing washes.

  • "A huge thank you to owners Emma and Adam plus housekeeper Angela."

The photos do not do the property justice. A well equipped kitchen, with quality crockery and cookware so catering for a large family meal was easy. We had 5 adults and 3 children, using the sofa bed in the snug and were more than comfortable. Mirrors now in all bedrooms! Ample space in the master bedroom to fit a travel cot (our own). 2 parking spaces in the courtyard in front of the cottage. Location provided an ideal base for a variety of activities. Co-op in Higher Bentham was well stocked. Clear instructions on location of the property. Highly recommend!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay and Angela the housekeeper was very helpful and friendly."

The reason for 3 stars in comfort was that the beds were very hard, meaning we were sleeping on top of the duvets. So ok if you like hard beds. Also, a minor point was the only mirrors were in the bathrooms, a bit awkward when blow drying your hair ladies.

  • "Superb cottage situated within a small group of converted farm buildings."

The work to convert this old stone farmhouse was of a high standard as were the fittings and fixtures. Even the separating garden walls were newly built dry stone walling in keeping with the surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage was exceptionally clean upon arrival, as was the Hot Tub and the garden furniture. Four adults and two ten year olds were easily accommodated with room to spare. It is situated in a excellent position for visiting all of the local landmarks.

  • "Angela the lady who looks after the cottage is fabulous, she was there if we needed anything, was available 24/7 and was really approachable."

The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, especially after a long walk. It’s great being able to walk into Bentham for walks, the Coop and the pub! Our favourite room was the kitchen. Plenty to do in the area and a lovely, modern cottage as a base. Definitely recommend staying here.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gill Head Cottage."

The place was absolutely immaculate and beautifully designed. The sunny weather made it even more perfect, spending the whole weekend in the Garden and Hot Tub. Thank you again to the owners and Angela the housekeeper for being so accommodating. We will definitely be back!
