Surrounded by nature with lovely walks nearby or from the door. The cotttage, ajoining the owners' house, is superb. Pleasing on the eye and equiped to a very high standard. David, the owner, is there for advice, leaves maps, walk suggestions etc. but does not intrude and welcomes his guests to use the outside amenities to enjoy the setting.

"David provided a well furnished and beautiful cottage for our two week stay in Yorkshire."
He provided some useful advice on various walks in the area and provided maps. He organised a couple of evening sessions up on his raised patio with views over the beautiful area of his garden and further with much wine and nibbles and chatter and an evening walk to the area in the moors which Kate Bush used as a theme in her song Wuthering Heights.
A very relaxing and stimulating time for us.

David was friendly and informative with a good knowledge of local walks, pointing us in the direction of a great little tea shop in Hebdon along our walk. The cottage was very quiet and local wildlife such as deer and a hare were regular visitors with the baby moorhens pottering about. We thoroughly recommend it.

"Goal Cottage is absolutely perfect in every way!"
It is extremely well equipped, particularly in the kitchen, which is where some rental properties leave much to be desired. Everything a cook needs is there and more - Sabatier knives, good quality cutlery, tasteful crockery and plentiful pans and utensils. The bed is very soft but actually extremely comfortable and the bathroom towels are large (bath sheets), thick and fluffy. None of those postage stamp sized thin, rough efforts! The living room is spacious with a comfortable, good-sized sofa and is very tastefully decorated. We loved the use of the original beams everywhere too! Outside there is a large, peaceful garden where we were regularly visited by roe deer, hare, rabbits, pheasants and also moorhens on the pond. There is a raised, decked area at the top of the garden where one can enjoy a glass or two while looking out over glorious countryside. As for David, our host, he was charming and most hospitable and helpful. We were particularly interested to hear about his own splendid barn conversion to which the cottage is attached. Anyone who would like to visit the Yorkshire Dales could do no better than to stay at Goal Cottage.

"This was our 1st trip to the yorkshire dales."
Goal Farm cottage is a superb holiday cottage. It has everything you could ask for in a holiday home. A converted barn, it is set in wonderful grounds with a couple of wild ponds that attract Deer, Hares, a Heron, and much more. David, the owner, could not have been more helpful or friendly and checked on us a couple of times during our stay. Most of the main attractions for us were all within 30ml radius, so it was the ideal place to have our base, I cannot recommend Goal cottage enough

"Goal Farm Cottage is a must for anyone wanting a stay in the Yorkshire Dales."
David is a fantastic host and extremely welcoming. The cottage is immaculate and very comfortable. David provides all the facilities you can think of to make your stay as comfortable as possible. An example of this was coming to make sure we had enough logs left for the fire towards the end of our stay. Although we did our research before travelling regarding the activities we wished to pursue David was very helpful with maps and information, providing alternative options should we require them. Thank you David for a wonderful stay. See you again soon.
