  • "We could not access Wi-Fi for 2 days - it was a very small notice on a notice in the kitchen."

    Info like this should be included in information pack. It would also be very useful to have some local info. in the pack such as local restaurants that will accept dogs, nearest garage etc, The flat itself was lovely, very well equipped and comfortable, but the approach through the narrow passage to the door of the property was covered in pigeon droppings, so we changed into slippers as soon as we went into the flat to avoid tracking the mess inside.

  • "The apartment and decor was lovely, very spacious, and comfortable exactly as described, with some lovely little touches."

    The downside was the parking, unloading and loading the car was tricky, however we did manage to pull into a layby close to the property on the day, but you wouldn't necessarily be able to do that! It cost £17.50 for the three days on the car-park close to the Commodore Pub which wasn't too far away. Being picky I would have liked a brighter light outside, with the entrance being at the back of the property. Also the key seemed a bit difficult to put in the lock and turn at times, realised you needed to pull the door towards you with one hand and turn the key at the same time, with the other . Overall a lovely property, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

    Thank you for the feedback, we have provided a "tip" on where to park for £1/ day, its a short walk around to the rear of the property and explained via a map on the wall in the kitchen of the apartment. There is also free parking along the High St near to Grange Over Sands lovely park Roy (owner) Property Owner

  • "Beautiful apartment, well presented, absolutely spotless and really well equipped."

    Bathroom is particularly lovely, shower fabulous and great attention to detail throughout. The whole place felt very homely. Only slight negatives, more observations really as they would certainly not prevent us from returning were; not being able to park outside or very close and I imagine this would be more difficult in peak season and the walkway and outside area was a little scruffy with quite a bit of litter around the entrance door of the property. But overall a wonderful stay in a very lovely apartment.

  • "We really enjoyed staying at Imperial House because it was very clean unlike the house we hired at Anglesey through Sykes in 2020 for our Ruby Anniversary."

    Even though I did complain to you in writing I never had a reply from you. As you can imagine I was very reluctant to book with Sykes again. Thank goodness that Imperial House was a positive experience. Comfy, well-equipped and tastefully decorated.

  • "Excellent location near to everything."

    Absolutely everything you could want a real home from home. Spotless. no hoover which I loved got a complete break.

  • "On our arrival the information and photo in your advert led us to believe the entry door was at the FRONT even though this door is blue and there was no key safe visible."

    After some searching I realised that there was a gennel to the left of the shop with a gate that was open with the house name on but no number, on further exploration down the gennel I found the grey door round the BACK along with the key safe. First immpressions were very poor as the handle of the gate was absolutely covered in pigeon mess along with the passage way itself, I could not avoid touching the handle or walking in the mess that will eventualy be transferred to the accomodation carpets. On entering it was quite a relief to find the appartment was very well presented. It would appear the gennel is a shared access and gives a very poor first immpression, so whose responsibility is it to keep it clean?

    Thank you for your comments, we have now updated the photo’s on the website to clearly show the apartment access on the end of the terrace. I would also like to highlight that we do provide details of how to access the front door, down an alley way to the rear of the building with your arrivals information. With regards to your comments about the pigeon mess we are attending to this issue and installing pigeon deterrent spikes to the property which we hope will resolve this issue in the future.   • "Wow. The house was a real gem."

    Location was amazing. So easy to walk to town shops and restaurants or to the promenade. Also very close to windermere and the hills. Beds very comfortable and the the shower was superb, just perfect after a whole day climbing Old Man Coniston. Will stay again. In fact the kids loved the house so much they wanted to stay.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching.
