  • "I booked the flat for my son and family including three children."

    They had a great stay and were impressed by the flat. It is spacious and has all you need for a comfortable stay in the town. It is very convenient for the shops and there were lots of places for the three children to run about and play locally. They tried some local cafes and all were friendly and produced great food and drink. The only tiny downside was that the Hoover would not work when they left so there might be a few rice crispies lurking!

  • "1) this property has been for sale for some time and may be responible for the very minor faults we found."

    As if it is not being looked after by the cleaners. Flickering light above bed, main bedroom .makes reading difficult. Downstairs toilet seat loose and swings round. Little or no info re-car parking with out high added expense. The dishwasher was left full of pans, pots, lots of kitchen tools etc. Vacum cleaner stuffed full. Would not pick up. Just a few of the little niggling thing which knocked the shine off what should have been a fine hoiliday. We are both in our middle 80's and (our fault) did not realise how mny steps we had to climb, ground to living 14 living to bedrooms 15( we are bungalow people and have bugalow legs/knees. It just seemed us as if it need a bit of time and tender loving care spending on it to bring it back to the fine holiday let it had once been. david

  • "The flat was in a great location, although grange over sands had very little to offer us."

    Just the attention to detail let the flag down, e.g. the ‘welcome hamper’ promised biscuits etc to tide us over until we went shopping. It was literally a bowl of coffee and sugar. Also, towels are provided and there was loads, but so annoying when they are all the size of a flannel! The old couple next door were quite loud too - on one occasion they were having a huge shouting swearing moment, which was a bit awkward! The bed in bedroom one was a lovely old four poster…however, I think the mattress was the bed’s original as it was dreadfully lumpy and uncomfortable.

    Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that Grange over Sands didn't meet your expectations. Some people prefer the quieter pace of life it provides, away from the crowds and with its selection of independent cafes and shops. I apologise that you didn't find a Welcome hamper on your arrival. It's a bit of a puzzle, as the cleaning company have assured me, when I checked, that one was left for you, so I'm not sure what happened there. All the towels that are provided are standard size hand towels and standard size bath towels, which are provided by the cleaning company to all the holiday properties in the area. The bed in bedroom one has a Silentnight pocket sprung mattress, of medium firmness and is a little over a year old, so definitely not as old as the bed! I will certainly check for lumps on our next visit, although no-one else has mentioned the bed being uncomfortable. I'm sorry that the mattress didn't meet your requirements, and we do hope you were able to enjoy your stay. Property Owner

  • "The apartment needed a good clean in the toilet and kitchen , there was human hair around ."

    it was not only us that have complained as we could see other guest have made comment in the visitors book . the owner has done a good job of the apartment, but the cleaning company that sykes and the owner uses needs to be made to pay attention more , especially with Covid still around infact i have contacted Covid help line themselves .

  • "We had a superb holiday in this excellently located apartment in Grange."

    It was a lot larger than we had expected so plenty of room for us and our two young girls. It was really well equipped and beautifully furnished - everything was provided and the beds were all extremely comfortable. We always found a parking space a few minutes walk away so that wasn’t too much trouble and we tended to park right outside overnight. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your apartment.

  • "The apartment is spacious and feels like a home, it had everything we needed."

    A parking space or permit for the car park across the road would make it near perfect! It would also help if some secondary glazing units could be added to the two front bedroom windows to reduce the noise from the street. Tesco next door is very handy but hearing the early morning deliveries was not! We loved Grange over sands, especially the promenade.

  • "The apartment was not cleaned on arrival."

    We didnt want to stay there. We were told to arrive 2 hours later because of a deeper clean taking place due to COVID, but the whole place hadnt been cleaned at all. Cleaners were brought in the next day. It kind of ruined the start of our holiday.

    We are extremely sorry that the property wasn't cleaned in time for the start of your holiday and can understand your disappointment. The cleaning company has contacted us to apologise for the delay and advised us that they are putting new measures in place to make sure this doesn't happen again.   • "Nice flat and well equipped."

    Good location. Arrival and departure times adjusted to 5pm and 9am due to extra cleaning for COVID. Inconvenient but understandable. However. Cleaners did not turn up until 8pm we had to get children out of bed it turned out they were already sleeping in used sheets and we had been using the unclean flat for 3 hours which was really disappointing.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching.
