  • "We really enjoyed our stay in 3 Boddencroft."

The accommodation seems to have been created from a much larger one and it would have been better if it had a second bathroom or at least toilet given that up to 6 adults could be staying there. However we managed. The property was clean and well furnished although a welcome pack would have been nice. Also the owners should look into having separate recycling facilities: we ended up taking several bags of stuff to the local recycling centre. Grange is a lovely town with a beautiful park and a promenade with fabulous views. You can see the estuary from the property. Parking wasn't a problem and there are sufficient shops and take- aways within walking distance to satisfy our needs. We were very lucky with the weather and I would recommend 3 Boddencroft to anyone wanting to stay and explore this lovely area.

  • "Great property with loads of space."

Lovely view of Morecambe Bay and 2 minutes walk to the shops. Grange is a great relaxing place to stay. Property much cheaper than Cornwall and a lot closer to home. However, there was a broken fridge door shelf at the bottom of the fridge on our arrival, the glasses looked like they'd been washed by one our kids (not clean at all), one knife had butter on and the bedding on one of the beds was dirty. Also the outside bin clearly hadn't been emptied for at least a week before as it was full and smelt bad. Also some basic cooking equipment wasn't there such as a wooden spoon, potato peeler and large oven stew pan. However, it was nice to have washing up liquid, washing powder, hand cleaner and toilet roll provided. Despite my comments the 5 of us and our dog had a lovely time. We would happily return.

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We are aware of the issue with the fridge; with the property being fully booked at the moment, we are waiting for an opportunity to get access to get this sorted. We will certainly pass your comments about cleanliness issues to the cleaners. The bin should be emptied every Thursday, so depending on the check in day there may be some rubbish from previous occupants. Again we will check with the cleaners. There should be a veg peeler in the kitchen; we have had a couple of things go missing though. We included plastic cooking utensils rather than wooden for hygiene, the plastic hopefully being easier to clean. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

  • "Parking was a big problem."

Thank heavens for the library round the corner. The house is centrally located and deceptively large. It's a shame there isn't a garden . Everything was clean and attractively decorated. The stairs would be a problem for elderly people. Good bathroom. We were slightly surprised that unlike most rentals we have done there was absolutely nothing left as a

Thanks for the feedback. Usually the parking situation in Grange eases later in the afternoon. Due to the geography and history of the town, properties near the town rarely have land for off road parking. After looking at properties further out of town, we decided that, on balance, Boddencroft's location was preferable for holidaymakers, with easier access to facilities and tourist attractions such as the promenade. • "Beautiful property, well maintained."

Just one some problem, by reading all the information we thought there was a garden (we had a dog) but there is no garden with this property and I think this should be made clear to the next people that rent this property. Other than that every else was just perfect…

  • "Beautifully appointed cottage with fabulous views out over Morecambe Bay."

Located right in the middle of Grange Over Sands it is in the perfect place for exploring what the location has to offer. The only drawback is that it doesn't have its own designated parking and although we were fortunate enough to find space on the road behind, this was not made clear in the cottage listing.

We were only two people but there was plenty of space for a family. The house/apartment was very practical with everything we needed. The prom area and the views from it are so lovely, we walked it every day and had coffee or an Ice Cream. The walk up to the woods and the Hospice is fabulous and we did this three times. The local bakery's are very good indeed and a quick easy walk from the apartment. Thanks very much for a great weeks holiday in. peaceful town.

  • "The property is very comfortable, clean and warm."

We enjoyed our short stay in Grange but parking was definitely an issue during the day. We had to park on a yellow line outside the property to unload the car and then move it around half a mile away until the evening when there were available spaces on Fernleigh Road. A cafetiere or filter coffee maker would have been much appreciated, nothing too fancy is needed.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and your comment regarding the coffee maker is useful as it is something we had considered, but with the bewildering variety of machines available, couldn't decide what type would be most suitable! Property Owner

Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. There is also the 25 mile Cistercian Way which starts at Grange over Sands.
