  • "Duddon view is a delightful cottage."

A true home from home. The setting is perfect, peaceful, scenic and within reach of all the Lake District favourites. The cottage is decorated to a high standard and the furnishings are lovely throughout. Sue has put considerable thought into this property and Team Duddon work hard to maintain the high standard. There are beautiful walks directly from the front door, most of which seem to end at the pub! We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning. PS Morrisons deliver- our driver patiently waited an hour for our arrival (rain & motorway hold ups,) and was still cheerful!

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, it gives us great pleasure when we hear that guests have enjoyed our home as much as we do. You are quite right, the walks from the door do all seem to end or pass by our local pub ! Despite our location, it is a wonderful service provided by not just one but three supermarkets who bring groceries to the door. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best wishes Sue Property Owner

Really lovely cottage with everything you need for a wonderful stay in the lakes. We've been staying in the Duddon Valley for over 15 years now. It's beautiful!! The cottage provides a fantastic, cosy base for exploring. Our six year old and puppy loved it all!

Seathwaite cottages make the perfect base for a countryside escape and provide a delightful space for families, couples and even their four-legged friends to relax in comfort. Together they offer accommodation for eight guests and one child, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms between the two cottages, ideal for large families or groups of friends. The cottages also lie on the Lakes and Dales cycle route, and cycle storage is provided for two bicycles in each cottage The local country pub of The Newfield Inn, which also sells essential groceries, is under a mile away and serves traditional home cooked food and local ales from 9am to 9pm, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Approximately six miles away is the unspoilt village of Broughton-in-Furness, home to a cobbled square surrounded by Georgian coloured houses and provides all the essentials with a deli, butchers, grocers, bakery, post office, a petrol station and cafe as well as three further traditional Lakeland pubs.
