The property

Windermere 1.4 miles.

A delightful stone mid-terrace cottage forming part of a barn conversion of four terraces, situated in the lovely hamlet of Heaning, just 1.4 miles from Windermere.

The location of this cottage makes it an ideal base for family and friends to explore the Lake District National Park or sample glorious walks from your door.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, you enter this immaculately presented cottage via a raised path with artisan metal work.

This charming cottage has upside down accommodation, with the ground floor offering a bright kitchen/diner and a spacious and comfortable sitting room with interesting artwork that provides a perfect place to relax after a day’s exploring.

Downstairs on the lower ground floor are two stylish bedrooms, along with a bathroom, where you can enjoy a soak after a day’s exertion.

To the front of this welcoming cottage is a shared, front lawned garden, an ideal place to enjoy an alfresco meal or beverage, and to the rear is a courtyard where you can unwind whilst you listen to bird song.

Nearby Windermere has an array of restaurants, bars and shops and excellent transport links via the train and bus station.

Take a 25 minute stroll down from here towards Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can enjoy a boat trip, and younger members of the family will be delighted with a visit to the World of Beatrix Potter.

You may prefer to see the lake from an elevated position, which you can do so by walking up to Orrest Head, from where the views of the lake, surrounding fells and mountains are breathtaking.

Ambleside is just four miles away, whilst Staveley with its local brewery and artisan cafes is nestled beneath glorious Kentmere.

This lovely cottage is an ideal place to stay whatever your holiday requirements.
