  • "Oldfield House is a great place to stay, we were a group of 6 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us without getting under each others feet."

Every bedroom being en-suite was a real bonus. The house has just about everything you need to cook meals at home, but it's also a great base to go and eat out without having to take a car. The only 2 things that could be added was an oven glove in the kitchen and maybe recommendations of where is good to eat or places to visit. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again.

  • "Wow! What a fantastic property and a lovely weekend stay."

One of the best places we have ever stayed and I would highly recommend to anyone, the photos do not do it justice! There were four adult couples staying and we all loved our own bedrooms and bathrooms and the space we had. Will definitely be coming back - thank you, we loved it!

  • "Beautiful house."

Perfect spot. Only downfall mattresses too soft. Didn’t have one full night sleep & the majority of us woke up with back ache. We have 2 young children. Could do with a double bed that could can convert to single beds.

  • "Poorly equipped kitchen."

No wok, scales, insufficient mugs etc. Batteries in the tv remote in the lounge needed replacing. No DVD player. No thinner covers for the beds could have done with a single sheet or a bedspread, not the heavy duvet.

  • "Lovely, clean, spacious property with ample parking."

Great location close to both Windermere’s shops & restaurants & a short walk to the picturesque Bowness. We would definitely recommend.

  • "Great location and house."

Good to have off road parking. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Only query would be what others have raised regarding recycling and rubbish collection- no details and both bins were overflowing .

Good locally for accessing the nearby facilities including Bowness. We all felt that the photos depicting the property on the website did not do it justice.

  • "A lovely house."

Lots of space. Very clean and comfortable. Owner came round when we reported a issue with bathroom tap and it wass sorted quickly. Information about rubbish and recycling would be helpful. It's not made clear whether paper, glass and plastic WILL be recycled. This concerned us.

We felt it’d be useful to have some info about recycling and rubbish collection as this wasn’t provided.

  • "Beautiful well equipped and comfortable house."

Lots of space for our family of 7 adults. Ideal location for us as it was easy to walk to Windermere (5mins) and Bowness (20 mins) for food/meals etc. Good location to go and explore the Lake District by foot and by car.

Thank you for your positive review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Oldfield House and thank you for leaving it clean and tidy on your departure. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Property Owner
