The host was very responsive and helpful when we contacted him both before and during our stay. I would recommend this as a relaxing place to stay.

  • "Very elegantly equipped and furnished tiny studio, but none the less it is small and the kitchen difficult to use without self injury!"

However excellent location for good walks, and not in crowded town!

  • "Very comfortable and well provisioned."

Good communication with hosts when needed. Being part of a larger house means plenty of heat and hot water pressure. A pleasant, tidy courtyard becomes an extension of the studio in good weather.

  • "The cottage is in a very quiet locatation just a short walk to Windermere or Bowness."

It is quite compact but perfectly adequate for two people. It has its own garden but you can also walk in the grounds which are lovely. Altogether an excellent base for our walking break.

  • "Having recently sold our touring caravan, we stumbled across the Sykes website."

After a short search we found The Studio near Windermere. The House, location looked very good. When we arrived it exceeded our expectations. Very good communications from the owners, who had thought of everything for our comfort. A beautiful house with stunning views, in a extremely quiet location. Really enjoyed ourselves, so much so we have already booked another Sykes cottage in Cornwall.
