  • "Lovely, comfortable ,spotless lodge."

Ideal location on the park. Easy to find. Very nice welcome pack as usual. Love staying in this lodge only downside is having no wifi.

  • "Lodge itself is exactly as described and actually felt bigger than we had imagined - hall area to dry coats a plus for us."

Although we knew location this was the drawback for us , the road behind our bedrooms seeming to attract late night returners and then the bins next door making noise from early morning. Just took the edge off what was a very enjoyable week.

  • "Great location of the park as you can walk into Bowness."

The lodge was spacious and comfy with everything you need. Only complaint is that the Wi-Fi didn’t work so the TVs didn’t work on the internet and the teens were a bit grumpy ! Other than that we would book again!

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased to hear of how much you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry to hear of of the issues you encountered with the WiFi, unfortunately this is something outside of our control as it is provided by the park and they are a different company to ourselves. Brook Lodge is a spacious lodge with everything you need for your stay and we do hope you will return. Property Owner

  • "Lodge was very well equipped and modern."

Bed is VERY uncomfortable had to use quilts off other beds to try and get a goods night's sleep. A lot of mould on shower screen seals in bathroom and shower room . Tiles need a good clean in both. Really strong smell of dried pee on carpet on left side of double bed. It definitely impacted our stay.

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased to hear you found the lodge to be well equipped with everything you needed. We are sorry you found the bed to be uncomfortable, we do find comfort to be a personal preference but we will check the mattress. Noting your comments on the cleaning, this has been passed to our Head Housekeeper who has spoken with the independent cleaner directly and this will be looked into further. Thank you for bringing these points to our attention and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We do hope you will return to us and maybe visit another lodge on our portfolio. • "The lodge, site and service are fantastic."

Location is perfect and gives the best of both worlds as being able to walk into Bowness, allowing the car to remain parked up can't be underestimated. I can't recommend the site enough and have already told family and friends (I just hope this doesn't stop us booking again as the site becomes too busy!) The only thing I found as any sort of negative was the double bed in the lodge was uncomfortable, but that's only a small factor and wouldn't influence any future booking plans. Therfore, 10 out of 10, a beautiful site, well done to everyone.

  • "This is our third stay at Fallbarrow Park but our first stay in Brook Lodge and using Lake District Lodge Holidays."

The arrangements for access during the current restrictions worked well, receiving the access code exactly on time. The lodge was spotlessly clean and I think the cleaning staff should be commended for this. The welcome pack was also a lovely gesture and goes a long way in the positive impression of the service provides by Lake District Lodge Holidays. The only slight negative was a traces of damp in the on suite bathroom which hopefully can be easily rectified. We look forward to returning to Fallbarrow next year. The lodge is beautiful, one of the nicest we have stayed in. Very cosy and warm, high quality furnishings and equipped very well. The welcome hamper was amazing with such a lovely variety of locally sourced products (some of which we loved so much that we went out and bought more to take home!). We love Bowness on Windermere so the location of the lodge was just perfect. Sadly the weather was not kind to us with rain every day, but it didn't dampen our spirits or spoil our holiday in any way. We hope to return again to Brook Lodge soon. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
