Set back off the road in the heart of Higher Bentham, the shops, cafes and good pubs with excellent food are all within less than 5 minutes walk! We enjoyed a local walk up to Big Stone and Ingleborough Cave and Nature Trail which is beautiful and all on Lynne's recommendations. A trip to nearby Ingleton is a must too and sitting in the cottage's back garden relaxing and enjoying the last days of summer. This really is a special part of the world and the cottage was the perfect beginning and end to every day. We'll be back.
“Honeypot Cottage is lovely.”
Very clean, well equipped and in a good location to explore this part of the Dales.
“Fabulous cottage with everything you need both in the cottage and surrounding area.”
Good pubs serving fantastic food including gluten free. Bakery opposite which my mum loved. Highly recommend. 5 stars plus.
“Loverly clean well equipped cottage located in a nice little market town handy for the dales, Lake District, and the coast.”
Very friendly and informative owners well worth a visit.
“A lovely little cottage.”
Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and super clean.
“We had a very warm welcome at Honey Pot Cottage.”
Lynne and Martyn gave us some great recommendations on things to do which we really enjoyed. The cottage is cosy, had everything we needed and is beautifully finished. The location is superb with many options for days out. Would recommend this cottage, we will return.
“Lovely cottage and Lynne made us feel very welcome.”
Nothing was to much trouble and the welcome pack of homemade bread, jam and marmalade was very nice. Will be back to make the short break into a longer one. Thanks again.
A gorgeous little cottage beautifully furnished and containing eveything you can possibly need. The exterior is lovely too and a great place to sit and chill with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Lynne the owner was wonderful and so accomodating especially as it was a last min booking. The village is perfect too and has plenty if places to eat and drink plus shops to but produce. Off road parking was a plus Looking forward to returning soon and walking in the hills again.
“The welcome from Lynn &Martin .”
The cottage was perfect in every way. Spotless and pristine. The village with its amenities was great. The area around was fabulous. Would love to revisit
“Honeypot Cottage is a little gem and perfect for our two day mini-break exploring The Dales.”
Beautifully decorated and well equipped, the cottage is very comfortable. It was great having a parking place immediately outside the property and there is a very pleasant little garden area to the back of the cottage - perfect for sitting out and enjoying a drink or two. We have no hesitation in recommending Honeypot Cottage to family and friends.
“Good location for many walks, good for local amenities.”
Very good facilities in cottage.
“The lady owner called around shortly after our arrival and couldn’t have been more helpful regarding amenities and what was available locally and beyond both food and entertainment wise.”
Highly recommended property.
“The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a comfortable holiday.”
The owner was very welcoming contacting us before we arrived and also while we were there with suggestions for activities that were going on in the area. Lovely cottage in a stunning location; would definitely return.
“Well kitted out cottage and spotlessly clean.”
Handy for the Dales, Lake District and Lancaster. Bus outside the door to Lancaster. Shops close by. Small but beautiful.
“Cottage was spotlessly clean and very cosy with everything you could require.”
“Fantastic little cottage...”
Recently stayed in Honeypot Cottage for a few days break. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you could need and more with lots of little touches like fresh flowers etc. Lynne was brilliant with advice before our arrival and left a delicious homemade cake and loaf of bread for our arrival. Great location with shops, pubs etc on your doorstep. Would highly recommend a stay here.
“We had a very relaxing comfortable week at Honeypot Cottage.”
On arrival we found fresh flowers, home made jams and bread, muffins, milk in fact everything we needed to have a cup of tea and cake - then a welcome visit from Lynne the owner ,who explained how everything worked in the brand new kitchen etc and was just so lovely to have a chat with. Lynne is extremely helpful and is a phone call away if needed. We were warm and cosy in the cottage as the weather was at the best variable then rain and more rain. This is a stunning area to explore when one of us isn't waiting for a knee replacement! So when able to walk and explore on foot instead of wheels we will go back to Honeypot.
“Beautiful cottage in a great location.”
The cottage has everything you could need and more with lots of little touches like fresh flowers etc. Lynne and Martin offered a warm welcome and helpful tips and advice about the area. We would highly recommend a stay here.
“Lovely clean and tidy little cottage.”
Great location. Cant wait to visit again.
“The cottage was just brilliant.”
Spotlessly clean, comfortable furniture, high quality bed linen. Lynne the owner was delightful and gave us a warm welcome. Lovely surprises with the fresh bread, cake, milk and flowers. A good central location for days out, excellent facilities in the village, especially the bakery right opposite. Our time there went too quick, we would definitely book Honeypot cottage again.
“Location was great for my wife & I---It proved a great base for the walks I had already printed off at home prior to the break.”
.. The local hotels also surprised me on the quality & prices on their evening meal menus... One small complaint however---the fan in the toilet/shower room proved an annoyance (very noisy) every time the light was switched on.
“We had a fabulous week at Honeypot Cottage.”
We were made to feel really welcome with lovely little treats like fresh muffins, chocolate, milk, jam and flowers! The cottage was very well equipped throughout, making for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal for walking, visiting places of interests and popping out for whatever we needed. The local pubs were ideal, especially The Horse and Farrier. We would definitely recommend this cottage and Sykes Cottages to others.
“This is a lovely cottage and would definitely stay again.”
There are plenty of walks and places to visit nearby.
“A Little Gem”
Honeypot Cottage is a characterful, cosy and spotlessly clean accommodation. Our time spent there was extremely enjoyable and the amenities were very good. High Bentham has all the usual requirements (shops, bakeries, cafes, pubs and eateries) on the doorstep and is well located to enjoy the delights of the Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District and the Forest of Bowland. There is a lovely garden/patio area and after a day out exploring, it was great to sit out with a relaxing glass of wine. It was apparent on arrival that the owner of the cottage is thoughtful enough to add many little finishing touches throughout the cottage and the whole experience was fabulous. It was like home from home and we will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
