“Excellent location with superb views across the bay and along Windermere which could have been made more easily visible by a slight change in living room design so that when seated the view can be seen without looking sideways and getting neckache.”

Simply swapping the table and the sofa so that it is facing the window could rectify this easily. I'm pretty sure people go to look out at the beautiful view not at the television which could have been placed elswhere! Simply swapping the table and the sofa so that it is facing the window could rectify this easily. I'm pretty sure people go to look out at the beautiful view not at the television which could have been placed elswhere! Sofa comfy for first day or so after that we had had enough of it, one sofa that has high arms/sides is no good for two people as they restrict your elbow room. No nest of tables or coffee table to have in front of us for cups etc, so we had to put lamp on a chair and use the lamp table instead. Tiny coffee table would be lovely. Kitchen not very well equipped regarding oven dishes or trays - this is a self catering property but only has the bare necessities. I was so pleased I always take my own microwave pans and trays too. One toilet roll for two people for the week leaves you counting the squares - most places leave two. We had chosen to unzip and unlink the bed but found that the duvets were much too narrow for a good nights sleep. So just a few niggles which could be so easily corrected. All in all a lovely warm holiday appartment in a stunning location which I would highly recommend to anyone!

Mitchell Wyke Bay

This lovely set of seven cottages rest in the village of Far Sawrey, close to Hawkshead and Bowness. Each wrapped in views of a beautiful lake; the scenery can be admired from the comfort of your holiday home, as you relax in style. Boasting open plan living areas, you can look forward to evening meals after the sun sets, or simply enjoy some quiet time with your loved ones. All cottages benefit from a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely seating arrangement, so you can socialise from morning through to evening, discussing your up and coming adventures. To be at one with the views, wander outside onto the balcony, perhaps with a refreshing drink to start the day off well. The beautiful bedrooms offer a peaceful sleeping environment, and a shower room completes the accommodation. If you are looking for extra space, or hoping to bring along additional guests, Lund Cottage has three bedrooms with en-suites, and a woodburner to enhance those cosy evenings. You are sure to be impressed wherever you choose to stay. There is something for everyone in this wonderful location with the village of Far Sawrey housing a pub/restaurant, and Bowness, with shops, restaurants and leisure facilities; just a short distance across the lake by ferry. Watersports are close at hand on Windermere, along with Lake Cruises and the majestic Wray Castle to admire. Of course plenty of walking opportunities are nearby, with an abundance of scenic attractions, for an all-round memorable getaway. An excellent group of cottages for a peaceful holiday experience.
