“Fuchsia Cottage is great little home from home.”

It is very well equipped and has everything you need including an enclosed courtyard for the dog. It is situated on the edge of the village which has lots of amenities with fantastic walks and scenery. Definitely the sort of place we would come back to.

The property

A delightful, stone-built end of terrace cottage, situated to the rear of the owners' home, centrally located in the rural village of Middleton-in-Teesdale, ten miles from Barnard Castle.

Beautifully finished, this cottage is ideal for a small family or a couple wishing to explore the delights of the surrounding area.

Two first floor bedrooms provide a welcoming retreat to rest tired bones, whilst the open plan living area with warming woodburning stove, cosy sofa and sleek kitchen provide all you need to rustle up a gourmet treat or simply kick off your shoes and curl up to watch TV.

To the rear of Fuchsia Cottage there is a delightful stone-walled patio area, a safe place for pets and kids to get some air and adults to simply relax with a cuppa and plan the next day’s activities, plus access to an external building is available for hanging up wet outerwear and a sink to wash boots in.

A short stroll will take you to the centre of Middleton-in-Teesdale, offering village life at its very best, with many local pubs, tea rooms and restaurants to choose from.

The nearby market town of Barnard Castle, with its cobbled streets and quaint lanes, attracts visitors all year round, while the Northern Dales are waiting to be discovered slightly further afield.

Visit medieval Raby Castle with its deer park, The Bowes Museum, High Force Waterfall and Eggleston Hall.

A perfect cottage at any time of the year.
