Prime position in Middleton, with easy access to walks and shops. Very friendly approachable owners of the property. They supplied us with welcoming snacks and wine when we arrived. Sticks and logs for the fire throughout the week. They couldn't have been anymore helpful. We would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

Kitchen very well equipped ( 2 caffetiers large and small and even a pizza slice). Middleton is a great location and has everything you need on holiday - Coop supermarket is quite large. Middleton itself is lovely and there are numerous walks directly from the cottage. Hosts live next door and they are very helpful. Lovely outside seating area with nice furniture. The cottage is quite spacious for 3 adults. We have recommended to friends ( one has already booked) and we are definitely going back

  • "Fuschia Cottage is a brilliantly modernised Stone Cottage in the lovely village of Middleton in Tees Dale."

The cottage is very well furnished and equipped and is an ideal home away from home. The cosy cottage is ideal for a relaxing stay or as a comfy base for exploring the natural attractions that this valley has to offer. The Village has plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and coffee bars. The local people are warm, friendly and outgoing, just as you would expect in the County of Durham. The owners Neil and Janet were no exception, giving us a warm welcome to their spotlessly clean property. The welcome pack of wine, chocolate biscuits and choccies was a lovely touch and most appreciated as well as being delicious. There was wood aplenty for the living room fire if needed and the patio area was ideal for sitting outside with a glass of wine or two and enjoying the views of the local countryside. There are walking/hiking trails aplenty and access to the River Tees is easy to find. Overall this was one of our most enjoyable cottage stays and in no small part down to the warm and friendly way that Neil and Janet treated us and our big Red Boxer Tilly. It was a pleasure to stay in Fuschia Cottage and we would stay here again. I would highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of a stay in this area.
