    “Great Place to Stay”

    We stopped here from Friday the 5th till Sunday 7th of April 2019, The house is well equipped for grown ups and children alike, There are four bedrooms two doubles one twin and a single . One of the doubles has its own shower and toilet,the kitchen is well equipped, there is a tv dvd player and wifi. There are toys for children and a small enclosed garden for playing or just sitting out with a glass of wine and just chill after a day of adventures and sightseeing. There's a local Co-op in the ...

There's a local Co-op in the village and a couple of cafe's as well as two hotels with bars for drinks. Barnard Castle is not to far away for more places to shop and eat also The Bowes Museum which is always good for a visit. We will use the rental again on our next visit ti see family whom live in the town 5* well done would recommend to anyone looking for self catering accommodation in this area, Thanks for a great stay

The property

A charming family property, on a quiet residential estate, in the small market town of Middleton-in-Teesdale, County Durham.

Ideal as a touring base for discovering the North Pennines, this modern home is suitable for friends or family wishing to explore this beautiful area.

The cosy sitting room provides a good space for friends and family to relax in front of the TV.

The spacious kitchen/diner, is well-equipped to rustle up a hearty meal and an ideal spot for all the party to gather together whilst planning the next day’s activities. On the first floor there are four cosy bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, as well as a family bathroom.

Outside this lovely cottage, there is an enclosed garden where you can unwind with a cup of coffee and breathe in the fresh country air.

Take a short stroll from the cottage into the town centre where there is an array of charming pubs, tea rooms and restaurants.

The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling and a short drive will take you to High Force Waterfall, Egglestone Hall, Raby and Barnard Castle and The Bowes Museum.

A perfect base for discovering the delights of the Durham Dales at any time of the year.
