  • “Last week I got married in The Lakes and I booked the Glendene so I could stay here with my wedding party.”

There’s more than enough room for 6 people and one of the sofas in the lounge even pulls out to a sofa bed which was great when guests didn’t want to share rooms. The cottage is lovely and cosy and very typical for the Lakes. The garden was brilliant and super secure if you are planning on taking a dog. There’s some steps in the garden which I wasn’t aware of and were a bit tricky for someone who was disabled and staying at the cottage - it would have been good to know about the steps ...

There’s some steps in the garden which I wasn’t aware of and were a bit tricky for someone who was disabled and staying at the cottage - it would have been good to know about the steps in advance. The cottage had everything you needed for a stay from an iron to towels. The village that the cottage is in is really quiet but a great base to explore the Lakes. The only improvement would be to change the kitchen crockery, cuterwly and pots and pans. They were all mismatched and it felt like a lot of people had left items and were being used as the standard items rather than being replaced once items had broken. All in all - definitely recommend this cottage for a lush stage in the Lakes.
