The hot tub and log burner were just what we needed to top off a relaxing week away exploring Lancashire/North Yorkshire. Claire was so welcoming, thank you! We didn’t realise how close we were to so much to do. The World of Beatrix Potter and the Lake District were an hour away, Blackpool was an hour away, so many little market towns around like Clitheroe and Skiptpn that have markets on different days. The Spread Eagle at Sawley, 5 minute drive away, served us a delicious meal one evening. We’ll definitely be back to explore more, we’re hoping for next year!

It was a good space for our 7 month old to have a crawl around too. There was a travel cot and high chair in the cupboard, but we couldn't see this on the facilities before we went, so took our own. The only room for improvement we would say is for a sweeping brush in addition to the dustpan, as it would have made cleaning up the baby's mess from weaning a bit easier. • "I think a little more could be done to improve the curb-side appeal to the cottage and to gve a better first impression."

I understand this is a working farm and livery, but on arrival, it is not at all obvious that you have arrived at your holiday cottage as you see nothing of Stable View when pulling into the front yard. Entrance to the parking area is often obscured with farm vehicles and horse boxes. The poor changed up dog in the front yard, running out and barking could also be off-putting.

It had everything we needed and had a homely feeling. Perfect for our boxer to have free roam of the enclosure, and there was also a field where he could have a good run around. Hot tub was a great addition!

  • "We loved staying in this cottage!"

The cottage itself is lovely and perfect for a couple and a dog. The garden is enclosed so our dog was able to wander around while we were in the hot tub. There’s a couple of fields which are part of the farm which can be used to exercise your dog which we used when we arrived on the first day, we then had a great time exploring the surrounding areas during the week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Stable cottage is delightful, very well equipped and surrounded by the most glorious countryside. The cottage is warm and comfortable and the owners, Claire and Peter, are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Farm fresh eggs, milk and biscuits were left for us, which was nice. The hot tub is perfect after a day out exploring the surrounding villages and countryside. This part of Lancashire is so beautiful, with so much to do and see. And if you like horses, you'll be in seventh heaven! Thanks to you, Claire and Peter for a super 12-day holiday.

  • "Absolutely lovely cottage, totally spotless and looks brand new."

Brilliant little courtyard garden. The only tiny improvements I would suggest are to have a dvd player and the gate may not be completely secure for a small dog. Totally beautiful place though and these are suggestions to improve but definitely not complaints.

Beautifully thought out and finished to a lovely standard. The hosts were very welcoming and even gave a courtesy call a couple of days before arrival, a wonderful touch. The Lancashire weather done it’s best to try and spoil things but the cottage with its log burner and hot tub more than made up for this. Would definitely recommend
