Having stayed in several accommodations of this type Apple Tree cottage comes to the top of the list. The owners (Nicola & Joe) have thought of everything and lovely to chat to and their advice on days out are spot on. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you need and more for a self catering holiday. The hot tub is perferct for relaxing in at the end of the day after days out and sightseeing. Its location is perfect for a visit to the seaside, lake district and the towns in Cumbria, Lancashire and even West Yorkshire. The Trough of Bowland is beautiful and literally on the doorstep. Real ale drinker ? The Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery @ Royal Barn is a must. Will be back theres so much more to see.

On the ground floor, a delightful sitting room is home to comfy pastel coloured sofas, antique furniture and a wide selection of books, maps, CDs, DVDs and board games.

A dining table allows you to rest and enjoy your favourite meals before the woodburner.

Doors open out from this room onto the private garden/patio area where you can sit outside on a sunny day and watch the spring-time lambs play in the apple orchard and fields beyond.

There is also a raised decked area where you will find the hot tub with covered gazebo allowing you to use this fabulous facility all year round.

This is certainly a lovely way to end an adventure filled afternoon!

Next to the sitting room is a fabulous kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, ‘Lavazza’ coffee pod machine, bread maker and slow cooker, neatly styled with characterful tiles and a deep ceramic sink.

On the first floor you will find a double bedroom in neutral tones overlooking the orchard and fields, with beautiful coordinating fabrics and a king-size bed with luxurious mattress topper.

A dressing table and chair allows you to get ready at ease.

Fluffy towelling robes are thoughtfully provided, particularly useful after a dip in the hot tub!

Moving around, a spacious single bedroom is styled with rich coordinating fabrics and lovely antique furniture and, of course, there is a luxurious mattress topper!

Also on the first floor is an inviting contemporary bathroom complimented by pure white fittings and an over-bath ‘rain head’ shower, to help both relax and refresh.
