Had to buy a broom, which we left for other people. There were no real negatives. The village was ideally situated with good facilities and the meal at the Millstone restaurant was excellent.

  • "We had a really lovely holiday at The Glass House."

It really has the 'wow' factor and is so much more beautiful than the photos indicate. Nicky's attention to detail makes it a comfortable and delightful environment in which to relax or even study (as I was doing!). Come rain or shine we never tired of the view and the Fire TV was perfect for a cosy night in. There was plenty to do in the local area - we visited Bowland Forest, Puddleduck Cafe, Clitheroe, Brockholes Nature Reserve, Samlesbury Hall, Huntley's Farm Shop and went further afield to the Albert Docks and Strawberry Field in Liverpool for the Beatles connection. This was the perfect home from home holiday.

Thank you Paula. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Means a lot that people are enjoying the house. Hope we see you again! Property Owner

  • "The property is stunning with absolutely gorgeous views."

The interior is so tastefully decorated with quality fittings throughout. The attention to detail is second to none. We have never stayed anywhere so peaceful. We were so lucky with the weather we got to dine all fresco and chill out on the swing watching the gorgeous sunsets. The location is perfect. There are 4 pubs nearby. 2 minutes walk to one serving lovely food and another 5 minutes in the car, with a great beer garden with glorious views. Lots of places to visit too within easy reach. Nicky the host was extremely helpful and friendly. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us on our arrival. Thankyou Nicky that was my husbands favourite wine. If you are looking for a top quality property, peace and quiet with stunning views, look no further. Should definitely be 5 stars. Jan and Col

This beautiful house was everything we expected and more. From first meeting the lovely Nicky who gave an overview of how everything worked and left us thoughtful gifts to make our stay more special. The house was beautifully decorated throughout. The floor length windows in both bedrooms allowed us to wake up to fabulous views of the countryside. The bifold doors in the living room brought the wonderful countryside into the living room, we never wanted to leave. A perfect stay in a perfect house with views that took our breath away. We will definetly be coming back! Thanks Nicky from Jan and Colette x

The Glass House is gorgeous - so cosy and luxurious yet so comfortable and homely. Very well equipped with super comfy beds, fluffy towels and lovely bedding. Couldn’t fault a thing. The kitchen is pretty wow too with an amazing coffee machine!! The views are incredible and it’s just so quiet and peaceful yet minutes from so many places to visit. Nicky made us feel so welcome and kindly left so many very generous extras which were so appreciated. Can’t wait to come back.

The very comfortable living/kitchen area is spacious and stylishly designed. Excellent ensuite bedrooms. Everywhere is very well equipped. Although you are fairly close to Blackburn, you feel as if you are deep in the countryside. Mellor is a lovely little village with an excellent pub restaurant. We had beautiful walks in the area.

  • "The Glass House is a first class property, immaculately presented and perfectly located for visiting the Forest of Bowland and surrounding area."

Nicky the charming owner took time out to welcome us and show us around the property. Nicky supplied milk, bread, coffee, tea, cake and a bottle of wine for our arrival, which was a delight and most welcome. I would heartily recommend the Glass House on the basis of comfort, fittings, appliances, the view and the convenience of the location. The only observation is that if like me you normally use a natural pillow filling then consider taking yours with you as the Glass House has pillows made of polyester type fibres. The beds/mattresses were very comfortable and towels fluffy white. Finally to sum up the Glass House in two words…Very Comfortable!

We particularly enjoyed watching the sunset from the swing chair it was breath taking. The beds were very comfortable and the house has everything that you need and more. We have two children aged 4 and 9 and there are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area such as, Brockholes, Samelsbury hall and Mrs Dowsons farm to name a few. There are also a few pubs in walking distance, we tried Millstone which was 2 minutes walk, the food here was delicious. Clitheroe, is a short drive away and has a pub called Holmes Mill and that is definitely worth a visit. Nicky the owner is lovely and very attentive.
