Ingelton's Waterfall Trail is a short walk away, whilst White Scar Caves is just a short drive.
There is spectacular woodland scenery and views to be enjoyed a short walk from the doorstep and for children there is an indoor climbing wall, heated outdoor swimming pool in the warmer months, a play park, cycle track, as well as local gift shops and a local pottery centre.
Nearby are Yorkshire's breathtaking Three Peaks, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen Y Ghent.
The area is also home to the famous Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle Railway and within a 10-minute drive you can catch the steam train and enjoy a scenic ride, or you may be lucky enough to catch the spectacular sight of it as it travels over the viaduct.
