  • "Excellent base for our 3 night stay in Ingleton."

Comfortable, clean, and very well appointed. We had everything we needed for our stay. Location was perfect within a couple of mins stroll from the village centre and some lovely walks. loved the waterfalls walk! The owner provided some really useful information prior to our stay which was much appreciated.

  • "Our holiday at 3 Bank End was simply wonderful."

The information from Sykes pre holiday was very comprehensive and the cottage exactly as described. It was perfectly kept by the landlords and they have ensured everything was in place for us to enjoy our stay. We were even contacted during our stay by the landlords to make sure we were settled and that everything was ok. I would definitely recommend Sykes as a holiday company and without question recommend No. 3 Bank End. It was perfect.

Perfectly situated with access to shops, bars and good bus links if you don’t fancy driving! Scott, the owner, contacted us a couple of times to make sure everything was OK and this was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

  • "We have just returned from a fantastic week at 3 bank end."

Ideal location within the village of Ingleton. The cottage was modern yet cosy. Bed was extremely comfortable. Enjoyed using the little outside area, overlooking the fields. The host messaged to check everything was to our satisfaction and provided good recommendations. We visit Ingleton every year, so will make sure to book again next year. Thank you.

  • "Lovely location."

Ingleton is a great little village and a really good base to get out and explore the surrounding areas. We ate in two of the local pubs, the Wheatsheaf and the 3 horseshoes and food was delicious at both. The cottage is a really cute country style cottage I would say the pictures of the advert are probably a little old as in reality it is a little more worn but it is still in good condition. Its probably worth nothing that the 2nd bedroom is tiny, basically only room for the bunk beds. There is no other furniture and only enough floor space for 1 suitcase at the end of the bed but this wasn't a problem for us as literally just slept in therebut if you have kids that might want to play in their room this probably wouldn't be suitable. The Master bedroom was lovely and according to my grandparents very comfortable. The owners text on our first day to check we made it and everything was OK and also text on the morning we were leaving to wish us a safe trip which I thought was lovely. I have no complaints at all but one observation would be that although it was evident that the cottage had been cleaned in all the main places I.e kitchen, bathroom, bedsheets and hoovering etc had all been done, the corners of rooms and windowsills had obviously been missed as they were dusty and there were spiders webs (we had to evict a few during our time). It wasn't a huge deal as the cottage certainly wasn't dirty at all but to someone a little OCD with the dusting like myself it was certainly noticeable and could probably do with a real deep clean at some point. Overall though, a lovely cottage in a very beautiful part of the country and would recommend a visit.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and located very near to the village centre and within a short walk of of pubs, restaurants and convenience shops. The property was compact but very comfortable with everything we needed to make the best of our stay for near Yorkshire's three peaks.

  • "Enjoyed a lovely week with my two youngest children."

The cottage was a little smaller than the photos suggested but that added to the charm and cosiness. Lots of things to do on the doorstep and we also visited the Lakes and Morecambe beach and Malham cove on three of the days (manageable drive within a day). Would definitely return.

We were particularly fortunate with the weather which meant we could appreciate the decking area and views as well as benefit from the coolness of a stone built cottage.

  • "The cottage was nice, clean & cosy, But for a 5 star rated cottage, we did find a few issues:- There was no info pack with appliance instructions & local phone numbers for things like Doctors & Dentists."

The washing machine wasn't plumbed-in. There was a lack of some kitchen items, like whisk, mixing bowls, Cling film & tin foil. No batteries in the clock. Better quality pillows in the bedroom would have been a nice touch. The chrome furniture on the bathroom sink was a bit shabby. The shower door kept coming out of the top runner and a soft close toilet seat would be nice. The setting was lovely. The town had everything you could want. Great walks, independant shops, good pubs and friendly people.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, we have taken this onboard, just to note the washing machine was not included in the listing as we were waiting to have this installed, this has now been done and is ready for guests to use. Property Owner

  • "Very disappointed on arriving at cottage."

It was nothing like the photograph on Sykes website which showed a homely light and 5 star accommodation. It certainly wasn’t 5 star, more like 3 star. It was advertised on your website as 5 star, you certainly need to change this. The photograph on the website must have been taken years ago with added lights, flowers and different soft furnishings. Not good Sykes. The bathroom needed updating and the table and chairs in the kitchen were of very poor quality, more for a caravan and very uncomfortable. The bedroom sheets were of poor quality. We have booked with Sykes for years and this is the first time we have been unhappy.

The decor was modern and very well presented. It had all the things required to have an ideal 5 night break. Scott was very helpful and there is lots of information regarding things to do locally. Being very central in the village it is an ideal base to set up your stay. We will definitely re book to stay again. Couldn't really fault it .

  • "Fantastic cottage in a great location, really well maintained and perfect for our small family (2 adults and 2 small children)."

Reason for not giving full marks on facilities is just little things like the dining table is on the small side, we needed to buy hand soap for the kitchen and there wasn't a cafetiere - but I stress these are only very minor details! Thank you!

  • "We enjoyed our stay in Ingleton."

The cottage was in a very good location for what we wanted, with local amenities close by. We were slightly disappointed at the facilities offered in the cottage though. For example, there was no soap in the bathroom, only 1 dish towel in the kitchen as well as a couple of other things that would have made the stay more comfortable.

  • "What a beautiful cottage, I would highly recommend to stay there!"

We spent Christmas here and I have to say it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in it felt like home, so warm and cosy and has everything you would need. We cooked our Christmas dinner here and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. It is in an excellent location with a bar across the road, the workmans club at the back and about a 5 minute stroll into the village which had some lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a lovely big tv with all the stations and netflix for all the movies. The wifi was very good too. Excellent communication from the owner, we will will definitely recommend it to friends and hope to return again ourselves.
