  • "We have just returned from a lovely lot half term break at Dairy cottage."

The cottage is well equipped, beautifully maintained with spacious accommodation across two floors. The laundry area was particularly useful for storing muddy boots and wet coats after returning from local walks. Ingleton falls and white scar caves are less than a mile away and I’d recommend dining at the Highway man which is around 4 miles away towards Lonsdale. The cottage provided us with a cosy, comfortable home away from home.

Thank you very much. We really appreciate your feedback and glad you had an enjoyable half-term break. Kind regards, Alan and Carolyn Property Owner

The extra touches of the welcome basket and fresh flowers was lovely. It is in a fabulous spot and we loved that we could easily walk to Ingleton village the Waterfalls plus of course the local pubs. We had a week of wonderful blue skies and the sunsets from the cottage were stunning. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Dairy Cottage is set just outside Ingelton, with great views (you can see 1 of the 3 peaks Ingleborough from the front garden which we walked up from the cottage so no need to take the car) easy walking distance to the dog friendly local pub 1/2mile and even closer the local farm shop/cafe.Ingelton waterfalls are well worth a visit, also within walking distance. The cottage was immaculately clean and decorated to a very high standard inside and out which is a credit to the lovely owners Alan and Carolyn who were so friendly and full of knowledge, giving me info on all the dog walks and pubs! We will definitely be back as we’ve found a gem of a cottage that ticks all of our boxes! (my wife now wants a boot room) can’t wait to go back in summer to relax out in the garden drinking a beer taking in the stunning views of the peaks! 5 stars isn’t enough! Thankyou so much Alan and Carolyn for welcoming us into your cottage and see you soon! Dave and Hannah Waites

This is our second week stay at this beautiful cottage. Loki our fur baby is now very sad after leaving we woke up to a sulking fur baby. Mind you we out the same. Already missing the beautiful views. Whilst staying here we did Clapham walk up to Gaping Gill Ingleton falls walked to the top of Ingleborough took a drive to lake windermere for the day and Morecambe bay all within short drive. This is our favourite cottage and will definitely return every year. The owners our very nice and polite. The weather was definitely on our side to be sat outside in October was amazing just taking the views in. We went as a family of 3 as we took my mum who loves it hear to and she is nearly 70 but still plenty of flat walks she enjoyed too. Stunning cottage immaculate inside and everything you need is in there. Thanks for having us again can’t wait to be saying hello again. Lisa Bri & Loki.

  • "An absolute gem of a property."

This property was originally a single storey building which has been beautifully transformed to a two storey property by the owners. Access was through a 5 bar wooden gate with wooden fencing on the perimeter - to keep the pooches and or small children in. There was good sized front lawn and a raised patio area with Rattan style garden furniture - with views over the fields. We arrived to a well presented very clean, well furnished and tidy holiday cottage in the Yorkshire Dales with views that just please the eye. The owners Alan and Carolyn live next door with the fun loving Oscar (our Daisy was definitely flirting with him) who had left a small hamper for us - thank you. Carolyn checked in on us to ensure all was well and let us know they were there if required. The property sleeps 6 - 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 large bedroom with en-suite on the first floor. The kitchen / dining area was a good size and very well equipped with views over the fields. The living room was comfortable and cosy with glass door leading out onto the front patio area and views over the fields. The bathrooms, as per the rest of the property were excellent. Oh, then there’s the exploring of the area to keep you occupied! Would we recommend this property - yes.

Thank you very much for your recommendation and very kind feedback, which is very much appreciated. Oscar had a great time entertaining the lovely Daisy. Kind regards, Alan and Carolyn Property Owner

There is a pub within about a ten minute walk and you can walk into Ingleton its self. The garden is to the front and was lovely and sunny during our stay and was adequately fenced for our little dog. You can see the a65 across a field, from the property, but it is not a problem for road noise. We had an excellent stay here.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you very much for your very kind comments. Best wishes, Alan and Carolyn Property Owner
