“Beautiful little cottage in a great location.”

Very clean, warm and cosy. Just what we needed for a long weekend break.

The property

A stone-built semi-detached cottage of immense charm and character, on the edge of the River Doe in the centre of Ingleton, Three Peaks Country.

Fully renovated, this romantic cottage ticks all the boxes when it comes to desirable holiday accommodation.

From the moment guests walk through the door, the homely feel comes to the fore, with an open plan living area combining modern furnishings with the wonderful history of this 17th century cottage.

A Yorkist range is the focal point of the room, with a warming open fire ideal for snuggling by after a hard day out on the local fells, or tackling the demanding Three Peaks challenge.

With original beams, old stonework and the relaxing sounds of the river flowing by outside, these features all combine to ensure a relaxing and soothing atmosphere at this lovely holiday cottage.

The first floor is compact and comfortable with a lovely view across the river, a romantic Jacuzzi bath and double bedroom.

A small cellar provides fuel for the fire and a good little store for your travelling wine collection!

The cottage is in a unique location, just three minutes’ walk from the centre of the village and a short walk from Beezley Falls.

Also just a short walk away from the cottage is the famous Ingleton waterfall trail, boasting some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in England.

The interesting and individual shops and cafes of Kirkby Lonsdale are just a short drive, as are Devil’s Bridge and the River Lune, made famous by the artist Turner and the writer John Ruskin.

Bentham 2.5 miles; Kirkby Lonsdale 6 miles; Settle 12 miles.

Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. There's also a year-round climbing wall, as well as a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool in a beautiful riverside setting. The attractive village centre has narrow winding streets centred on a tiny market place. The village's main claim to fame is the superb Waterfalls' Walk, while the well known White Scar Caves are just over a mile away. An excellent location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.
