    “Excelent location in small but ...”
    Excelent location in small but interesting hamlet - excelent walks from the cottage particularly to highest and most northerly point in Lancashire which is a pleasant walk from the cottage. We were extremely lucky with the weather so did not need to use some of the facilities - e.g. log burning stove. We were a party of five adults so the third bedroom with bunkbeds was a little small but this would not put us off returning. The bedrooms could be improved by having more bedside tables. This terraced stone cottage is set in the hamlet of Ireby, surrounded by magnificent open countryside less than four miles from Ingleton in the pretty Yorkshire Dales, and four and a half miles from Kirkby Lonsdale.

Boasting excellent walks in every direction, this is an ideal country cottage to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the wild and natural countryside on the doorstep.

The cottage has a cosy sitting room with woodburning stove, a great spot for relaxing after a day out walking.

Upstairs you'll find three comfy bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio, ideal for enjoying a refreshing drink, with the extra benefit of a larger garden area situated approx. 100 yards away, which makes a perfect space to let the children run around and have fun.

Tumbling through the village is a pretty stream, and from the doorstep is a host of paths and bridleways to explore.

Visit nearby Ingleton to explore the famous caves and waterfalls, or head over to the charming market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with its fabulous restaurants and individual shops.

Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. There's also a year-round climbing wall, as well as a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool in a beautiful riverside setting. The attractive village centre has narrow winding streets centred on a tiny market place. The village's main claim to fame is the superb Waterfalls' Walk, while the well known White Scar Caves are just over a mile away. An excellent location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.
