    A welcome pack waiting for us on entering which was very thoughtful, even fresh milk in the fridge. Gin and tonic and a beer - lovely surprise which we really enjoyed ! Central area from which we were able to walk around Kendal and catch the bus from the station to venture further afield rather than driving. Would definitely recommend

  • "Immaculately clean, warm and tidy and well presented property with all modern amenities you could ever need for a weeks stay."

    The owners have thought of everything to make ones stay very comfortable and homely; it really has a ‘Home from home’ feel. If you’re used to living in a quiet area and getting a good nights sleep then this is the place to stay! With a parking space provided there is no need to worry about where to park your car! There was even an outside tap with a hose to clean off our muddy walking boots! The owners left a welcome pack too, which was a very nice touch. The property itself is only 5 min walk into the town centre which is great for a bit of shopping and a coffee or an evening out in Kendal. Will definitely be booking next year. Thank you.

    Very clean and beautifully decorated with all the facilities that you could ask for and more. The property was ideally situated with a short walk in the town and easy access to all the places of interest. I would certainly book this property again whenever I return to the Lake District.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Strickland Court."

    The communication with the owners before the stay was excellent before, during and after. When we arrived the home was beautifully cleaned and had everything you’d need for your stay. There was even a little welcome hamper which was lovely. The home was cosy and felt like a home from home. We had our baby with us and they had provided a high chair and put a stair gate up for us which was a great touch. Would stay again if we visited the area in the future.

  • "Great holiday cottage within 5 minutes walk of Kendal town center, and close links for days out to the lakes or seaside, bus stop at the end of the street which you can catch to go to Windermere or the train station 10 mins walk."

    Family of four with two children 1 & 5 who both enjoyed the house, plenty of room and very well equipped, immaculately clean. Would recommend to family and friends.

  • "The most perfect house in the best location."

    Modern with everything we needed. A very short walk into Kendal town. The host couldn’t have been more accommodating. The house is clean, well equip and had everything a family of 4 needed. A fab smart TV, very comfy sofa, a super modern bathroom with a very spatial shower. Lovely enclosed back garden and parking for one car. We will be booking again. We enjoyed exploring all the local areas.

  • "This property is a real gem."

    It's a lovely house, small yet spacious, with everything that we needed and more. It's close to amenities and in a lovely quiet road. It's a very comfortable and practical house to be in and is a very easy location to venture out and explore the Lake District from, either on foot or by car. The space is well designed and tastefully decorated, the garden is a quiet retreat. The welcome basket was a very thoughtful and delicious touch and the house had condiments and washing-up liquid etc and felt far more like staying in a generous friend's beautiful holiday home than staying in a rental. The owners have really thought of everything that you might need, from multiple small chopping boards for a family to cook together to blankets to snuggle under on the sofa. Even somewhere to put your wet and muddy gear! We could walk out to dinner or stay in and enjoy the house. The super fun large TV allowed us to watch the Olympics whilst in the kitchen cooking supper, and we found ourselves picking films that would make good use of the large screen - Jaws! We truly couldn't recommend holidaying in this house more!

  • "3 Strickland Court delivered everything we (Husband & wife) needed for a weeks break in the Lake District."

    The house is immaculate and everything has been thought of. My initial concerns about noise from neighbours were totally unfounded, this must be one of the quietest streets in the country. Kendal is a great base for exploring the area, it has everything you need but is nowhere near as busy as Windermere, Grasmere etc Recommend a walk up the River Kent to Staveley about 6 miles, the stretch between Burneside and Staveley is stunning and we hardly saw a sole, lunch at the fantastic Hawkshead Brewery in Staveley and then the train back.

    Great position for strolling into Kendle centre , which is a. Lovely town with nice walks around & about. A short drive to Windermere a good base to explore the Lakes. If we went to Cumbria again we would definitely stay at “ Strictland Court Tarn How’s ,we highly recommend the property.

The property

Enter into the contemporary kitchen area fitted with sleek white units and all the essentials for a self-catered stay, with a dining table to gather around with bench seating, leading into the homely sitting area complete with a large corner sofa and a Smart TV.

Socialise in here following a busy day, or make use of the pretty enclosed rear garden for some fresh air on a sunny day with seating here.
