  • "We LOVED this property !"

We spent a week here and it was exactly what we needed. we are a family of 4 and we had plenty of room and space for all of us. The main areas like the kitchen, dining and living room had loads of space to sit and relax. Having roku on the tv was great for winding down in the evening. The location is also perfect for tourists to the area, as its a 5 minute walk into the middle of Kendal. There was plenty of space to keep our clothes. You can really tell that the owner tried to provide as many of the important things as possible to make it convenient. Also the bathroom was wonderful, warm and the bath tub is humongous! My only gripe with the property is that the 2 larger beds were really hard to sleep on. The mattresses were very solid, and we kept waking up with sore ribs/back. The single bed was perfectly normal. I hate to even mention it, and it doesn't overshadow our experience staying here. If it weren't for the mattresses, this is the perfect property for anyone to stay in! and we will definitely consider this for future visits.

Our first two nights were difficult with a fair across the road but luckily it was just the two nights.

Plenty of area to move around and well equipped. Tucked away ii was a gem as far as we were concerned. Close to the centre for shops and exploring the wonderful town of Kendal.

We were very pleasantly pleased with 9 Camden and enjoyed our week in Kendal. We used the public transport for getting out and about which was great.

  • "This apartment was in the middle of the town."

It was spacious and clean. The beds were a bit on the hard side and the pillows were flat. The only real problem was the very high cobbled car parking space. I have a small car and had difficulty getting off the space without it wrecking my front bumper. This needs sorting out. The place itself was lovely and homely.

It's extremely comfortable and well equipped. Getting into the designated parking space can be fiddly so be prepared if you have a very large car.

Having two children aged 1 & 3 years old we found the location to be prefect as we could easily walk into the town for restaurants and there is a lovely little park just a short walk away. The cottage was clean and the owners were very helpful and on hand when needed. We will be back . Thank you

Comfortable and ideally situated to explore Kendal and the Lake District. Soon got the hang of parking in the car park, angling car past the tree into its spot!

  • "A very comfortable apartment in the heart of Kendal."

Conveniently placed for a short walk to cafes, shops and the town's attractions. Kendal is also a good location for exploring the southern Lake District. Clean and spacious accommodation. The only down-side is the parking can be a little tight in the cobbled court-yard.

  • "Great apartment in a perfect location."

Everything we needed was right on our doorstep, including a Tesco and plenty of pubs, and the market on the Saturday morning was a pleasant surprise, and great for stocking up on fresh strawberries and pastries. The apartment was fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here. As mentioned there is only one space, and we tended to park in front of the church.

  • "Apartment was much better than I was expecting, the pictures don’t do it justice."

The area was good, right near the high street and a short drive for all the lovely walks. We had a lovely week. Only downside was the downstairs neighbour who was a little distracting at times but he was harmless, just a little irritating.

just one time , we were a bit disappointed when CHERRY PICKERS were used to help do painting work & we had no idea that was going to happen . If it wasn't for the fact the weather was beautiful we would have been so cross . But the location & the apartment in general is beautiful . Just adore it , . Coming back for my birthday in June

The only drawback was the journey up and back which was horrendous over 18 hours travelling for 400 miles but NOTHING to do with Sykes overall it was a great week

  • "Arrived on 17th December for 3 weeks."

Everything was ready and a very nice surprise to have a full Christmas tree twinkling in the dining room and two bottles of Champagne in the fridge. Everything you could ever need is in the apartment and with having two young children the washer and tumble dryer were invaluable. The car parking space was also a big hit. Two double / King size beds were really comfortable and the single room was great when we had a visitor stay a few days with us. The owner made sure we were settled and checked if we needed anything. All the kitchen items were clean and fully stocked. the heating was more than adequate in all rooms. The close proximity to the town centre is a great draw for this property. This property will be the first choice for my next visit later this year. Thanks again to Mr Robson.

  • "Great place if you want to stay centrally."

Kitchen equipment is a little scant (e.g. pans are all small and looking v worse for wear, no scales). And we only got towels for one of the 3 bedrooms (situation rectified after 24hrs). But they are the only things that would improve it. Would have booked again for next year but someone else got there first!

  • "Apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped and owners when spoken to very friendly."

They contacted us to make sure all was well which was appreciated. The location in centre of Kendal was quiet and perfect for going out to the shops and for a meal. Parking in allocated bay was a little tricky due to cobbles and maybe should be a warning about this a low cars could bottom out. However we managed and there is free parking on other side of the road (a busy road) if you really could not manage it, although this would not be too convenient when unloading and unloading luggage. Would still definitely recommend as a place to stay.
