  • "Incorrectly advertised, claimed has parking however it didn’t."

Which resulted in a big cost to myself. Tv remove didn’t work, as no batteries so had to replace. Also thermostat didn’t work for the heating.

  • "The cottage is very cosy and has a lovely calm aura about it."

Located 5 mins from Kendal centre and all the shops / pubs / restaurants etc (which are varied and good). Beds very comfortable & central heating very good. The stairs are steep, but perfectly OK for people without mobility issues. The owner and the management team are wonderful and have promptly resolved any issues arising. It worked for me to the extent I added another week.

  • "The main issue was no hand rails on the steep stairs which I slipped on, this could be easily solved."

The cottage was generally good order but had a mark on the kitchen ceiling probably from a bathroom leak. The kitchen could do with more cooking equipment.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback. We have now added handrails to both sets of stairs so this will make it easier for guests. We will also look at adding more equipment in the kitchen. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Kendall Cottage and would recommend it as a fantastic location and lovely cottage."

We were unlucky in that the cottage was covered in scaffolding when we arrived that we weren’t made aware of so that did spoil things a bit. This also made the use of the communal back garden difficult The garden had no where to sit and was really only used by the cottage next door who hung out a lot of washings also stopping use of the space for our cottage. Despite this we thoroughly loved the cottage but from the description we had expected to be able to sit out and use the outdoor space. The lounge area was lovely and cosy to relax in and the bedrooms were bright and airy with lovely bed linen Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location with lovely parks close by to walk our dog.

  • "A great location for Kendal and other beautiful surrounding areas, but with some teething problems."

..Loose part of bannister on staircase. Very dusty under beds and a dead spider and woodlouse in sink on arrival. Not child friendly especially with sharp corners and spiky doorframes. Parking was also at times a nightmare. A guest comments book and a few items on arrival would have made us more at home. These have been offered at other cottages we have stayed at.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We will definitely pass this feedback onto our cleaning and maintenance team and aim to improve this. Unfortunately parking can be challenging in the area, especially at peak times. We will look into the suggestion about a comments book and items on arrival. Property Owner

  • "I am surprised that Sykes listed this property!"

The cottage is in a great location for a holiday in Kendal a d for the Lake District. The standard of facilities and maintenance was low however. The shower was unusable as the temperature control was faulty. The two flights of stairs were very steep and no bannisters! The parking permit was 3 months expired so I spent a lot of my holiday time and money finding car parks as most of Kendal is permit parking zone. I contacted the property “agent” who told me to keep receipts and claim back parking fees
