    Unfortunately it was spoilt by there being an overfilled dustbin which obviously had not been emptied for many weeks - this issue had been mentioned a number of times in the Visitors Book over a long period of time. Perhaps the "owners" have not read this book. In addition to the bin issue, there was no recycling bin. There was however, indication that we were expected to take all recycling goods to a "nearby" recycling centre with no clear address or description of the locality. The single room, which for us and probably many families was used for a young child, had a curtain that did not block out any light at all and even a tired child gets up when it's light. But for the above irritations, a lovely property with great views.

The ground floor occupies two of the welcoming bedrooms at the property, both immaculately decorated and benefiting from built-in wardrobes.

Both of these bedrooms are serviced by the lavish family bathroom, graced with a contemporary vanity unit, a bath and a walk-in shower.

You will spend most of your time relaxing in the open-plan living area, a wonderfully spacious room with a well-appointed kitchen and a comforting sitting area coming with the added luxury of a woodburning-effect stove.

For some peace and quiet, take yourself into the smaller and cosier snug room, also with a warming fire, you can sit here with a good book and your headphones in.

Head upstairs into the loft conversion and discover the remarkably beautiful master bedroom; a king-size room with a luscious en-suite and an awe-inspiring picture window showcasing the most idyllic views of Morecambe Bay- a heavenly sight to wake up to.

The warmer days can be spent out in the back garden, choose from the delightful patio or the summer house to kick back and relax with a refreshing drink.

A short drive, or a scenic coastal walk away, is the seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands, offering plenty of shops and eateries to make the most of.

The wonders of the Lake District are easily reachable from here; popular destinations such as Lake Windermere and Kendal are within 10 miles and offer fun-filled days out.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. Set amidst the southern lakes, the attractive town of Grange-over-Sands makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area.
