"We could not ask for anything better."
The property is immaculately kept, everything needed for a stay is provided and instructions on how to operate everything is provided. The owners made personal contact to offer general advice on the property and the area and provide support for the stay, which was very much appreciated. The location and size of the property is fantastic for a family and Sykes Cottages have been very helpful in all correspondence. We would definitely recommend this cottage and in fact are looking at when we may next book some time here.

"We enjoyed a week in this well located property."
It lived up to its description and the facilities were more than adequate for our stay. The walk into Grange along the Salt Marsh path and Promenade was welcome exercise. The parking and the WiFi are a great benefit
"The driveway is quite difficult to get into."
Its off a narrow lane on a hill and just off a sharp corner.
"The house is easy to find and location is beautifully quiet."
Walking distance into grange. Lovely and clean all facilities supplied. Plenty of excellent cooking pots and pans although we did bring our own big mugs as I love a large cup of tea. Grange has enough facilities take you own tennis rackets etc and you can play for free down on the promenade after 4.30. We’ll located for access to Windermere, Grizedale forest. Just make sure you pre book any activities you want to do up front before you go as it’s very busy post covid. Excellent pub the pheasant in Allithwaite next village 2 mile away.
"The cottage is beautiful, it was wonderfully clean and the beds were super comfortable."
The location is amazing with great views, especially from the terrace, of the ever changing Morecambe Bay. It’s a short walk from Grange and a 20 minute drive to Windermere so the perfect base for walking. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and very quickly felt like a home from home - I would definitely recommend it, it was perfect for a family and a dog!
"Not quite by a seaside."
Access to the garden was a challenge and if you had young children almost dangerous to go up and down the external steps.
Thank you for your feedback, we have taken on board what you have said and I am sorry for any confusion surrounding the estuary nearby. We show the steps in the photographs advertising the property but we will add more information to the description to help future guests. Property Owner

Cartmel 2 miles; Lake Windermere 8 miles; Kendal 10 miles.
The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. There is also the 25 mile Cistercian Way which starts at Grange over Sands. Set amidst the southern lakes, the attractive town of Grange-over-Sands makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area.
