"We had a really lovely time at Rainbow Cottage."
It is brilliant for accessibility, everything on one level and a walk in shower. It was very comfortable, very clean and has everything you need. It is quiet and relaxing, the perfect get a way if you want to switch off, but just a short drive away from great pubs and lovely walks. There is a great accessible walk from Smardale Gill that takes you to the Viaducts. We had a brilliant time and will be back.
"Amazing! The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, very large and felt like home, very well equipped with everything there that you need."
It was the perfect base for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Diane was great before hand keeping in touch to let us know arrival times and directions etc. and when we were there Simon was a fantastic host making sure our stay went perfectly well. An absolutely amazing time had in an amazing place and we will certainly return!
"We had a lovely few days at Rainbow cottage."
The surroundings were beautiful with a choice of 3 seating areas. Inside the cottage was clean, tidy and cosy with all we needed for a comfortable stay. Disabled access was brilliant for people with limited mobility. Close by Kirby Stephen has a variety of shops and restaurants to choose from. Diane and Simon are great people who are happy to help with anything you may need. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a relaxing break. We are looking forward to coming back for a little longer next time!
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure to meet you all & look forward to you returning to us. Thank you so much for leaving the cottage so clean & tidy. That was very much appreciated. Property Owner
"Excellent cottage in a wonderful location."
The place was clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything was there and in good order, so you could just enjoy the place and its setting and use it as a base for wider travels across Cumbria and the Lakes - or even into Northumberland. The owners were friendly, easy going people, who were happy to help in any way. It was good to see their small herd of Herefords in the adjoining paddock and to feel part of the farming community.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are pleased that you had an enjoyable stay. We hope to see you again. Property Owner
