  • "It is even better than the write up."

The owners clearly are proud of their cottage and it shows!

  • "Due to an accident on the M61 our 2 and a half hour journey turned into six hours but on arriving at the bungalow the nightmare quickly faded."

We opened the door to a very clean bungalow and the owner had kindly left milk, chocolate biscuits and wine, which we really appreciated. The bungalow was warm with a lovely garden. It was close to all amenities. There was plenty of information of where to go for activities and eating. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend staying here.

It was like a home from home , very clean , quiet and safe. The cottage is positioned very close to the tramline and is a great location for everything in Blackpool. Me and my daughter enjoyed it. I have recommended this place to other family and friends . Hoping to come back one day and I'm sure my daughter will as well! Thanks for having us.

  • "What a lovely cottage."

Right from walking in the door, it was lovely, immaculately clean and tidy. First class furnishings, we even got a "welcome pack" in the kitchen of a bottle of wine and some chocolate biscuits. There was tea, coffee, sugar etc as well. The cottage is in a good location, a couple of minutes walk from the sea front. The private drive meant that we could go out in the car and be assured of a parking space when we returned (you can't guarantee that in a hotel). We'd even got our own personal "Blackpool illuminations" lights in the back garden. We will certainly look to book here again when we are in the area.

The convenience of the tram and bus stop, 5 mins stroll away together with the weekly Blackpool transport pass we bought made getting around extremely easy. We only used the car once to drive the length of the spectacular lights (only equalled by the ones in the back garden). A perfect holiday - cannot fault anything

However the settees were low and my wife resorted to bringing in a folding garden chair which we had brought with us. Garden brilliant when it was sunny but windy on the prom - we topped up the tan (in October!!)

Many thanks for your feedback! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We have considered your constructive feedback and 3 inch riser feet have been added to lift the sofa. If you wish to discuss your feedback further, please do not hesitate to contact us. Property Owner

Nice welcome pack and helpful information folder, plus lots of leaflets about the area provided. Lovely lights in the back garden too. Only downside for us was the sofas because they were so low, and being disabled it was hard to get up from them. The bathroom is perfect for disabled visitors. A larger fridge/freezer would have been helpful but we managed, just didn't eat as much ice cream as planned. Would recommend this bungalow and if it had different sofas would visit again.

It is in a lovely quiet area near Norbreck Castle and only a short stroll to Cleveleys (1.8) miles. The cottage is lovely and has all you need for a self catering holiday. A 5 min walk to your right will take you to the main seafront road where you can get a bus or a tram all along the coast. No need to use the car, just let the local transport take you, sit back and relax.

It was immaculate and very clean. The bathroom had helpful hand rails and a wetroom shower with seat was very good for my husband who has had a stroke. There was a nice bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits and dog biscuits for our dog. It had a long lawn at the back which our dog enjoyed and there were seats at the bottom of the garden which caught the sun at teatime. There was also the bungalow's own illuminations when dark. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anybody - fit or otherwise..

  • "The bungalow was lovely."

Very clean and fresh. However, we had to cut our holiday short as the bed and the settees were very hard and aggravated our arthritis. This was unfortunate because of the position and quality of the bungalow. We had booked again for September but we had to cancel because of the bed etc. The amenities were very good except the local fish and chip shop which we went to on our first night and it was terrible, no cod, cold food and the pies were disgusting, a great disappointment as we had been stuck in traffic for 3 hours and this added to our frustration. This, however, was not the fault of the accommodation. I would recommend the bungalow for cleanliness, position and generosity, it was just the bed and settees. If you like hard furniture then it would be ideal for you.

About the location

BLACKPOOL

Lytham St Annes 6 miles; Preston 17 miles.

Blackpool is famous for being a seaside resort on England's north west coast. The town is on the Irish Sea, between the Ribble and Wyre estuaries, 17 miles north west of Preston. Blackpool has been fashionable as a holiday resort since the mid-18th century when it became fashionable in England to travel to the coast in the summer to improve well-being. Blackpool's seven mile sandy beach and promenade are still a popular attraction today with donkey rides, fish-and-chip shops and theatres. Other landmarks include the Blackpool Tower, Blackpool illuminations, the Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Water Park, the Winter Gardens, Blackpool Zoo, or take a ride on the first generation tramway the only surviving one in the UK. Nearby the seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes-on-Sea nestle along a picturesque stretch of coastline lined with pretty parks, whilst walkers and twitchers will adore the rolling sandy dunes of St Annes-on-Sea and the Ribble Estuary providing a safe haven for more than 250,000 migrating birds that return each winter. The area is internationally renowned for golf with seven courses to choose from, the most notable being the Royal Lytham & St Annes Old Links Golf Club, one of the host courses for the Open Championship. Boating, cycling, shopping and swimming can all also be enjoyed nearby, along with award-winning restaurants, traditional pubs and wine bars should you fancy celebrating.
