The local pub is a short walk from the property into the village of Urswick.

To keep you busy whilst staying here, you can venture out Ulverston town, where you will have access to a number of shops, pub and restaurants, as well attractions including the Laurel and Hardy Museum, Ford Park and the Conishead Priory, where you will find a Buddhist Temple and historic mansion within 70 acres of woodland.

This retreat is an ideal base to explore the world heritage site of the Lake District.

Adventure through the lakes, mountains and forest on foot or bike.

The villages of Great Urswick and Little Urswick, together refereed to as Urswick, can be found within Furness peninsula in Cumbria, England. Within the town of Great Urswick you will find two pubs, one serving food, a number of local businesses and places of worship. You will also find Urswick Tarn where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the lake, or children can make use of the park. Nearby, there are a large selection of activities to suit all ages, such as South Lakes Safari Zoo, Ford Park and the ruined Furness Abbey, where you can take a walk in the woodlands or enjoy the café. Further afield, is the town of Ulverston, where you can explore a good selection of independent shops, traditional pubs, weekly markets and cultural attractions. Such attractions include visiting the Laurel and Hardy Museum, enjoying an evening at Coronation Hall or relaxing during the summer in open space park, filled a beautiful lawned area.
