  • "Only small issue, shower waste is blocked and drains very slowly."

Don't feel enough towels were left for the time we stayed One bath towel and one hand towel for three days. ? Everything else was fine.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and making us aware of the shower drain which has been dealt with. We always ensure that there is one bath sheet and one hand towel for each guest to use during their stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, well equipped in a good location for walking or catching the train to Skipton or Settle."

Five minute walk to the local pub which has good ale and food available. A short drive to several other similar village pubs. We found the cottage to be very clean when we arrived and it was a nice touch to have coffee, tea , milk and a few other provisions available.

  • "Immaculate property - very nicely finished throughout."

Well located for the Dales, Settle and Skipton. We had a lovely time staying there. Only one relatively minor concern and that is the property is situated on the A65, a busy road. The house is generally well insulated from the noise but would need to be perhaps more of a consideration in the summer when you might have your windows open. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Thank you for your feedback, we're really glad you enjoyed your stay at 1 Grosvenor Farm Cottages. Our listing is honest about the location of the cottage and having been recently renovated, the property enjoys an exceptionally high standard of insulation throughout. We are always on hand should you need any help during your stay. Property Owner

About the location

LONG PRESTON

Settle 4 miles; Malham 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles.

Long Preston is an attractive Yorkshire Dales village in Ribblesdale, twelve miles from Skipton (popularly known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'), four miles from Settle. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales; to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley which, in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland. The village benefits from several large, tree lined, village greens, with footpaths leading direct to the surrounding hills, and it also boasts two excellent pubs with first rate cuisine. The railway station on the edge of the village provides access to the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town with a weekly market, the centre being dominated by the Shambles, an historic 3-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall.
