"We had a really enjoyable stay."
Well appointed home; there was a bed for the dog which she took to straight away! Fantastic recommendations of places to go.
Charlotte, thanks for the feedback. I’m glad you managed to get to some of the recommendations, we really do have some great places on our doorstep to visit and always glad to hear the dog was as happy with the cottage as their owners! regards Catherine Property Owner
"This cottage is a credit to the property owner, everything was perfect, the property is beautiful immaculate and tastefully done, everything you need to cook with etc, welcome pack was a lovely gesture, we were six adults ranging 60 to 70, easy access all round, the best we have stayed in so far, we had two cars and parking was no problem, easy walk to the pub, throughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend."
Thanks for the great feedback, I’m so glad you enjoyed the cottage and the area, regards Catherine Property Owner
"We really enjoyed our stay at Dawson's cottage."
Great location for exploring the area. We found the cottage very clean, comfortable and well equipped, we had everything we needed, including a candle and matches when there was a power cut. (Lovely neighbour too who checked we were ok). The hamper was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
I’m so glad the power cut didn’t affect you too much and you had a great stay in the cottage, feedback from our guests is so important to us, thanks Catherine Property Owner
"One of the best cottages we have stayed in, the welcome pack was lovely and the cake was delicious, there was also a bottle of prosecco in the fridge, we had everything needed for cooking, the beds were comfy and the dog enjoyed sitting out watching the world go by."
Will be going back

"Beautiful cottage in a great location , thoroughly enjoyed our stay ."
Cottage had everything we needed and many thanks for the hamper of goodies
Clean and well equipped. We stayed for two nights, well situated for the 3 Peaks. The main bedroom and on suite look new. Beds are comfortable. Nice linen. Pub at bottom of the lane, 5 min drive to next town that has a few pubs with good food,COOP and a couple of takeaways. Nice touches in the house such as hand wash and kitchen roll make the difference when you are only there for two days.
"What a beautiful cottage The cottage was in a perfect location for walking and relaxing and had everything you could possibly need."
We will definitely be returning but for longer next time.
Thanks Cathryn, so glad you enjoyed our beautiful area and the cottage. There is so much to see and do, we look forward to welcoming you back soon, thanks Catherine. Property Owner
"A lovely cottage very well placed for exploring Yorkshire and the Lake District."
There was a bottle of prosecco in the fridge which was nice because it was our wedding anniversary.
Thanks for your review, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Dawson Cottage. Property Owner
"Very well equipped and located, very clean."
One of the best.
"We had a lovely stay in this property."
It was clean, warm and very comfortable. A great place to come home to after tackling some tough but enjoyable walks in the Dales. Owners have thought of everything including a lovely welcome pack.
Thanks for your feedback Russell, we are glad you had an enjoyable stay at Dawson Cottage, thanks Catherine. Property Owner
"Beautiful clean and highly maintained property."
Our only comment would be about the parking. Although there is an allocated space for the cottage it isn’t large and this means the car sticks out into the road slightly. Also parking on the road is very difficult as spaces are obviously at a premium. This is a comment and NOT a complaint! This in NO WAY affected our enjoyment of the accommodation or our holiday. So thanks and keep up the good work!
Hi Paul, I’m glad you enjoyed your break at the cottage and sorry if you found the parking space a little small for your car, the parking space is located on a private road so glad it didn’t cause you too much of a problem, regards Catherine. Property Owner
"We had a lovely stay, thank you."
The welcome package was a really nice treat. Very comfortable, warm and well equipped. Would only suggest adding a large frying pan.
Hi Alison, I’m glad you had a good stay and thanks for the feedback, I will look into it, thanks Catherine. Property Owner

We felt very welcome and looked after.
"Flawless! Very clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay."
Great location for access to walking in Dales and Lakes. Friendly local pub just around the corner.
"The whole family really enjoyed our stay at Dawsons cottage."
The owner has thought of everything we needed. Lots of little extras very much appreciated. Spotlessly clean. Even a dog bed and bowls provided for our dog Oscar. Would recommend a stay here even in rainy weather. Lots of walks nearby.
"We really enjoyed our stay at Dawson Cottage."
Everything was as described. The bed was very comfortable (we only used one) with lovely cotton linen; the shower was hot and powerful, and the white towels were soft and fluffy; the kitchen was well equipped (right down to a tea pot and tea cosy!); Catherine was kind enough to leave us a basket of goodies which were very much appreciated. We found the house a very comfortable base and would happily recommend it.
"We enjoyed the lovely stay at Dawsons Cottage."
We were left a fantastic welcome pack. This property was the cleanest we had so far. It was a wonderful place to stay with all home comforts and a centre for walking and hiking. We will be back. Thank you Catherine.
Kwok, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and made the most of the fantastic location for walking. Being situated on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Peaks and 40mins from the South Lakes makes Dawson Cottage a great choice, we look forward to welcoming you back, thanks Catherine Property Owner

"Dawson cottage, a gem of a property!"
Wonderfully appointed, spotlessly clean. The property furnished with all home comforts, the owners having thought of everything. Welcome pack certainly was very! Village very friendly, ideally located for Yorkshire Dales and Lakes. Enjoyable evening spent in The Sundial, food excellent and live music too! Thank you

"Stayed here in the August heatwave- fantastically cool indoors, didn't need any fans."
The property is clearly loved and in excellent condition. The Wi-Fi was excellent if you have to work from home. Not a lot of space outdoors but lovely walks only a couple of minutes away and you do get dedicated parking. There were lovely little touches like lemon drizzle cake and milk and prosecco!! Bentham itself was full of kind and generous people. And if you have time, go for an afternoon in Kirkby Lonsdale- only 15 mins drive away- for fabulous ice cream and to see a stunningly pretty market town.
Thanks for your feedback Samuel, glad you had a lovely stay and you managed to go to the ice cream parlour, it’s a must if your visiting the area! You will have to come back to tackle the mountains and visit lots of other lovely villages in the area! Property Owner
"We had a very good 3 night break."
We travelled on the hottest day of the year so far, the cottage was cool because the windows and blinds had been left closed. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, very comfortable and the welcome package was very generous. Our dog was also well provided for.
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and that the dog was ok in the heat! Always happy to assist with special requests to make your stay more comfortable, thanks Catherine Property Owner
"A lovely spotless cottage in which we were very comfortable."
A much appreciated welcome pack and the cottage was well equipped including a proper teapot and, even rarer these days, a tea cosy.
Thank you for your feedback, I’m glad you had a comfortable stay at Dawson Cottage and the teapot got some good use! Property Owner
"Wow! Dawson’s Cottage is beautifully appointed, we had everything we needed and the starter pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated."
The property is newly renovated to a very high standard with quality fixtures and fittings. The location is excellent, remote enough to feel away from it all but good access to all the major attractions in the Southern Dales. We will certainly return to this lovely property.
Thanks for your feedback and I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay at Dawson Cottage, I look forward to welcoming you back, kind regards Catherine Property Owner
