    “A great place to stay”

An impressive grade 11 listed building full of character and the photos do not give it justice. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy and full of character and fully equipped for the large family. It has an arga oven in the kitchen pleasant enough way to cook when you are not cooking but a challenge for any good cook, plenty of utensils pots and pans available for the larger family. With sky TV for watching all the sports a variety of books available in all the rooms it could easily be mistaken ...

With sky TV for watching all the sports a variety of books available in all the rooms it could easily be mistaken for a library, and plenty of DVDs available for all ages. A pool room that is great source of entertainment for all the family to enjoy. The trampoline in the garden is great source of entertainment for the children and the large gardens are suitable for great day of a variety of outside games and the grass is maintained on a regular basis. There is no problem with the water and the shower and baths were always ready with hot water and never a drop kin presser. Be carful of the owners dog as you open the back door as he sneaks in without your knowledge, but never a problem. check out the website as it does what it says on the tin. There are plenty of place to visit with Settle only a few miles away and the market albeit only small is worth a visit. Settle has a goos variety of shops and can recommend the China China chines takeaway( no delivery ski-ton is only approx 15 miles away another great place to visit with plenty of attractions to suitable all ages, another great place for markets days. The cottage I would recommend to all families and children, check it out.

About the location

SETTLE

Malham 6 miles; Skipton 17 miles; Kendal 25 miles.

The bustling market town of Settle lies at the south west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, nestled beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes - amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. Tuesday is market day in Settle, when the square is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of crafts and goods. The market place is surrounded by local businesses, the centre being dominated by The Shambles, an historic three storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool. The Victoria Hall has entertainment and other activities such as folk nights throughout the year. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham. Settle is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.
