A superb stone-built terraced cottage located in the attractive hamlet of Meathop, a peaceful rural hamlet just three miles from Grange-over Sands, in the Lake District National Park.

The country-style, well-equipped kitchen opens onto the dining room, which is perfect for meals with family and friends.
From here, step into the character sitting room which mixes traditional and modern style with the ample comfortable sofas and chairs, and there is a large stone fireplace with woodburning stove, perfect for cosy nights in.
This cottage is ideal for enjoying a relaxing peaceful break in this unspoilt corner of the South Lakes.
Close by there is the attractive village of Cartmel with the award-winning L’Enclume restaurant, lovely pubs, shops and ancient priory.
It also has a small racecourse which holds meets during the summer months.
Levens Hall with its world-class gardens and Sizergh Castle are both worthy of visits for their historic homes and grounds and are also nearby.
There is local walking in abundance plus for cyclists, there is the coastal cycle route or the cycle paths in the Lyth Valley to enjoy.
Windermere is a short drive away with Ambleside and Coniston easily accessible with their Lakeland attractions.

For the more energetic, hike directly above Grange-over-Sands to Hamsfell where you will be rewarded with a 360 degree vista over the Morecambe Bay estuary, to all Lakeland and Yorkshire fells and the west coast wind farm.
Visit the charming town of Kendal, where a five minute drive away is Scout Scar, a long flat limestone shelf, and again be rewarded by stunning views in all directions on this Wainwright walk.
Meander back through the Lyth Valley and visit one of the inns, there are several to choose from, before returning to your lovely cottage where you and your party can relax together.

The small hamlet of Meathop is situated in the southern Lake District National Park, just a few miles from the coastal estuary, a quiet and peaceful area occupying a rural location on the path of the Cumbrian Coastal Way. Nearby is Lindale, sitting on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell, with a true 'Lakeland feel' to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs. Cartmel, with its famous annual horse race, and the pretty coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are all neighbours and worthy of a visit. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Newby Bridge, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many.
