Went with a few others from my walking group and we all enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for us all, cosy lounge, large dining room and large well equipped kitchen. A real bonus for dog walkers are the walks from the village along the old railway line.

)). The cottage, as well as being a distinctive and attractive conversion of an older building, was very cosy and comfortable - my sister found the double bed an especial pleasure!; the kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathrooms clean and pleasant to use. Nice full-length baths as well as the showers, and no problems with hot water. We all liked the dining room with its low-arched picture window and I much enjoyed the ‘spiral staircase room’, which allowed me a little privacy too when needed. The only small suggestion for improvement would be the flush in the en-suite bathroom toilet for the ‘spiral staircase room’, which was very weak (water pressure can be tricky, I know).

We stayed during the recent "big freeze", and the owners were so helpful in ensuring we had everything we could possibly need, and even cleared the front path of snow!!!, Although I indicated that the cottage met expectations, and not exceeded, this was because the description was so perfectly accurate. Despite the snow, we enjoyed some good walks with our dog, who was made most welcome. Although we didn't sleep in the bedroom above the dining room, acessed via the spiral staircase, it is a superb bedroom, with double aspect views, so light and airy, and so very pretty, we joked we could nip up there for an afternoon snooze!! On a practical note, gorgeous bedding and plenty of fluffy towels, and bathtime treats.
