The property

This luxury property, set in beautiful Langdale, offers the very best of Lakeland living.

Built around 1890, this period residence has the wow factor and more.

With spacious accommodation, professionally styled to combine the best of contemporary and traditional furnishings, Brunt House is the perfect place in which to spend precious time with family and friends.

The property is reached by a sweeping drive and offers parking for three cars.

Stunning views lie in every direction, and the inviting grounds are ideal for a morning stroll.

Brunt House’s Grand Drawing Room will take your breath away.

Carved wooden panelling, large fireplace, leather sofas, and mesmerising view add up to somewhere very special.

The kitchen is a delight, equipped with top brand appliances, leather armchairs by the large bay window and the most magnificent oak dining table.

This is a place to linger over coffee or an aperitif.

The three bedrooms defy description.

Sumptuous beds and luxury en-suites with cast iron roll-top baths and walk in showers.

Egyptian cotton linens dress the beds and each room has its own Smart TV, Blu-ray player and Bose speakers.

Luxury towels and bathrobes are provided.

On the top floor is the Penthouse Den, a sociable space with views across the valley.

The den comes with all the entertainment facilities children of any age could wish for.

40-inch TV, PS4, full size professional football table, DVDs, boardgames and jigsaws.

There’s no need to be bored on even the wettest of days. This Skelwith Bridge residence has ‘Chester’s By The River’ just a short stroll away, and the famous ‘Drunken Duck’ inn just up the road; guests will be spoilt for choice when dining out.

There are countless gentle walks as well as many more challenging, and the pretty village of Elterwater with its famous Britannia Inn is close by.

This really is the perfect property for a luxury break.

About the location

AMBLESIDE

Windermere 4 miles; Grasmere 4 mile; Keswick 15 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
