The cottage is spotless through out only small niggle was the shower had no water pressure at all, the position of the cottage was great for visiting lot's of places including The Yorkshire Dales (Grassington & Settle) 1hrs drive this was a lovely day out. Windermere is only 20mins away a boat trip & the Motor Museum from there were great. Kirkby Lonsdale is 10mins drive away & a very pretty village with Devils Bridge & a nice dog walk also Kendal is close by & our favourite day out was an 1hrs drive away Keswick it's beautiful with hills & mountains all around the Lake, we had a very long walk along the lake & the town is great & the market on a Thursday. We had a meal out in the Stickland Arms which is dog friendly(10mins drive) & was very nice & a reasonable price. We had a lovely week in the Lake District & the cottage played a big part, the bed linen & towels were all very good quality & the wardrobes huge with plenty of hangers. The kitchen has every utensil you could need & a nice coffee machine, four slice toaster, washing machine in outside utility room this was very handy with two children, ironing board & Iron, hairdryer etc..... You needn't take anything other than your clothes, we were also left some eggs & lovely homemade rhubarb jam, will definitely recommend this property.
