"It is the second time we have stayed at Lanshaw House and we loved it just as much this time."
The house is beautifully decorated with stunning views and a lovely interior. The location seems remote but is within easy access of Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle and many other places. We got the opportunity to meet some of the lambs and our children adored playing with Pip and Dot- the farm dogs. They have already been asking when we are going back- a real hit with the whole family.

We had a wonderful stay. You can see the thought and care thats gone into this home to make it a superb stay for visitor's.
Lanshaw House is surrounded by stunning scenery and a short drive to some great villages and tourist attractions.
Thank you for all the little treats on our arrival. Theses were a lovely touch. We will be back

"What a find, set in a great location with friendly hosts."

"Beautiful house in a lovely peaceful location."
Plenty of walking and cycling from the door, with lots to explore in the area when the weather was kind to us. Warm and comfortable on the occasions when the weather was less kind (Storm Debi) and we needed to escape it.
Ian and Gill are great hosts, friendly and helpful, with out being obtrusive - many thanks to you both.

"The house is stunning."
Everything was perfect- from the comfort of the beds, to the facilities in the kitchen. The house was clean and beautifully presented. The window seats are an added bonus- for sitting and reading or looking out at the scenery which is stunning. We left after a week knowing that we will return. An amazing, relaxing week.

Tranquillity and blissful quiet yet only a few minutes from the nearest village.
House has everything you need for a comfortable stay, the welcome hamper was extensive and generous, and the owner very friendly and helpful, whilst respecting privacy.

"First class accommodation in a stunning location."
A historic property renovated to the highest modern standards internally including a fully equipped kitchen and rainfall showers (perfect when returning from a walk), plus a well-tended garden to sit in with a drink and watch the sun set. Ian and Julie are welcoming hosts. Peacock displays are a bonus. Highly recommended and we will book again.

"Really enjoyed our stay at Lanshaw house."
The farmhouse has everything we needed and more for a very comfortable break. Super comfy beds, wonderful shower in the main bathroom and toasty warm throughout our stay. Stunning views from every window of gorgeous countryside and we loved watching the lambs in the field.
The welcome basket was a wonderful extra too.

warm and welcoming. Very restful environment. Friendly and helpful owners.
My only suggestion would be that shower mats and hand holds would be helpful for people that have problems with balance.

"Lanshaw House is in a lovely peaceful location with fine views from both the front and back of the house."
The building has recently been refurbished and is furnished to an exceptionally high standard, retaining key elements of the building's history but making it a very comfortable place to stay.
The owners, Ian & Jill live in the converted barn next door and were friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay where you can walk and cycle from the door.
We have already booked again for next year.

Outstandingly presented & finished property, in such peaceful & beautiful surroundings. Ian & Jill were the perfect hosts - not intrusive at all, but there when we wanted to chat or ask them a question. The welcome hamper was a thoughtful and generous touch, and the comfort and quality of everything in the house meant that we didn't want to venture very far! Very comfortable beds, with cloudy soft pillows; cracking showers; amazing Aga; cute window seats; use of the garden area for relaxation.... just perfect :)

We loved being here. The house catered to all our needs and provided us with much needed rest & recuperation. We felt honoured to meet the new calf & we all enjoyed the sheep, dogs, cows & peacock, a far cry from our bustling normal town life. Lanshaw provided an excellent location for Malham Cove, Windermere & Tarn Hows. We would very much like to visit again.

The owners were so welcoming, friendly and have everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed our trips out to Turbary Woods Owl & Hawk Centre, Morecambe Bay, Gretna Green, Betty's Tea Room @ Harrogate, Helmsley, Goathland (Heartbeat Country), Haverthwaite steam trains, Lake cruise on Windermere, & Ilkley Moor to name but a few. "This is your best kept secret."
The farmhouse has been renovated to a very high standard with quality furnishings. The owners Ian and Gill should be proud of what they achieved at Lanshaw. It was home from home and they even did a food hamper of essentials on arrival and they were very helpful hosts. You need to reiterate the locations proximity to the dales lakes and coast are all easy to access from here. It is also good for walkers and bird watchers. It is in a peaceful location so is good for touring or relaxation holiday.

It’s wonderful in a great location, the views are amazing. We enjoyed golf in Bentham & Giggleswick. Walks at Ingleton Waterfalls & Malham cove. The beaches at Blackpool and Morecambe. A pint in the Tan Hill pub. Sweets in the old shop in Pately Bridge. A sheepdog demonstration and Wensleydale cheese in Hawes and far too many ice creams from the Milking Parlour in Kirkby Lonsdale and everywhere in between.
