Everything that you could possibly wish for whilst you are away on holiday was provided for guests. We received a wonderful welcome hamper which included something for everyone and even treats for our dog. The Chapel was beyond spotless in every room and we simply could not find fault with anything. The kitchen had every utensil and dish/pan you could possibly need and all our foil/clingwrap/cleaning items were all provided. The Christmas tree was so beautiful... Thankyou so much to the wonderful owners who went out of their way to ensure our holiday was perfect, they even contacted us the day before to say we could arrive early! We will definitely be returning!!!

  • "John and Lisa are incredibly welcoming hosts and checked a couple of times that we were happy with everything."

The courtesy call from Lisa a few days prior to our holiday was a lovely idea which gave me the welcomed opportunity to ask questions. She also kindly sent some useful information before we left home about local amenities. On the day of our arrival she texted us to say the chapel was all ready for us at 2pm, which was a nice surprise. The chapel is everything we could hope for, and more. It has to be the most “high end” finished holiday home I have ever stayed in. John and Lisa have done the most fantastic job on this much loved building with its personal connection to their family. The welcome pack was the best ever! Teesdale is very deservedly an AONB full of amazing scenery, waterfalls and wildlife, all easily accessible from the chapel doorstep, and yet so quiet and peaceful, the perfect retreat for lovers of the outdoors. We shall definitely return and cannot recommend the chapel highly enough.
