A cheerful kitchen with wood trim and a delightful cottage feel has all the basic kitchen appliances you would need, and includes a washing machine and dishwasher.

Bedrooms with cottage style wooden furniture and cosy carpeting add to the rural ambience, and the main double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while a second bathroom means there is ample wash and WC space for a family on holiday. Large bright patio doors offer a view of the stone walled garden and surrounding countryside.

Appleby 8 miles; Penrith 8 miles.

The charming old village of Newby sits in a secluded location in the Eden Valley, between the northern Pennines and the Lake District. The village itself is surrounded by open fields, supporting cattle, sheep and horses. The nearby market town of Penrith offers a good selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, a cinema and swimming baths. Why not visit the Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith, or nearby Lowther Castle Gardens and Bird of Prey Centre? Ullswater, with frequent cruises from Pooley Bridge, is eight miles away or you may like to visit Appleby, famous for its annual horse fair and a stop on the Settle-Carlisle railway. This is an ideal holiday location.
