The property

The North Wing at Sandhoe Hall sits hidden in the fabulous Northumbrian countryside.

2.5 miles from the beautiful village of Corbridge and 3 miles from the ancient Market town of Hexham.

The North Wing is the oldest part of the grade II listed mansion of Sandhoe Hall.

The original, late 18th century building, was later added to and extended by the famous architect John Dobson in the 1850s.

Today, the North Wing with its separate private drive, entrance and garden offers charming country accommodation within (yet secluded from) the country mansion of Sandhoe Hall.

Ideally situated in the tiny hamlet of Sandhoe the North Wing is within easy distance of the World Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall, as well as the beautiful Northumberland National Park, the Heritage Coast line and the Kielder Dark Skies Discovery Site.

The property also lies within easy access of the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Durham.

Hosting 3 bedrooms, this is an ideal location for groups of friends or families wishing to explore this varied and delightful region.

Three steps lead to the front door into a small porchway with a further door to the main hall.

From the hall, the kitchen breakfast room with feature fireplace provides all you need during your stay.

From the hallway you enter the peaceful sitting room with an open fire to enjoy relaxed and cosy evenings - this spacious room also offers further dining space for larger groups and family dinners!

Down the inner hallway you find three very spacious bedrooms.

One double bedroom with beautiful ensuite bathroom and pretty feature fireplaces.

The second, king size, bedroom is beautifully decorated with a cosy and restful feel.

the third twin bedroom offers a feature fireplace and steps up to the quaint dressing area.

One luxury bathroom with a magnificent freestanding bath and large luxurious walk in shower completes the accommodation.

Outside you approach the property via a private track onto your gated drive with ample parking in your own courtyard.

Ancient steps lead from the driveway to your secluded garden surrounded by woodland and with barbecue facilities.

Enjoy a peaceful evening sipping wine, admiring the view of the distant hills and Tyne Valley while the children keep watch for the regular wildlife visitors to the grounds.

A one mile stroll through countryside and fields takes you to the nearest pub and restaurant or venture to the nearby Corbridge or Hexham with an array of independent shops, pubs, coffee shops, some excellent restaurants and a weekly market.

Ancient Roman ruins lie within a short walk just outside the village of Corbridge.
