  • "We really enjoyed our holiday at the Chester Suite."

Everything was exactly as described. Clean, modern, well fitted out and furnished. The location was just what we wanted in a beautiful part of Northumberland. We would definitely recommend this for a well located and also relaxing holiday. Very dog friendly, spacious, and great for dog walking too.

  • "We loved everything about this apartment."

Ideal for a couple wanting to relax. We stayed in the Chester suite, which is a ground floor apartment.it has a covered outdoor area leading into a shared outdoor area, which our 2 chihuahuas loved also. The location is ideal as a base to visit other areas of Northumberland. It is also set in a lovely village. Next door to a pub, with plenty of walks from your doorstep. There’s also a shop across the road. We would definitely recommend to family and friends and look forward to returning.

  • "Extremely well appointed cottage which has been thoughtfully designed."

Very clean and comfortable. Love the outdoor sitting area which was pleasant even with rain on the glass roof. Tea making facilities with milk and biscuits much appreciated on arrival after a long journey. Would highly recommend this cottage.

With off-road parking, this large open-plan apartment is positioned close to shops and pubs and is the ideal base for a couple to relax with their furry friend in a self-catered escape just south of the Northumberland National Park.

As you enter the large open-plan space you will immediately feel at home.

Relax on the leather Chesterfield sofa in front of the toasty woodburning stove and enjoy a film on the large Smart TV.

Prepare supper in the fully-equipped kitchen area, and sit down to enjoy a glass or two at the dining table whilst making plans for the holiday.

At the end of the day freshen up in the large walk-in shower and retire to the king-size bedroom featuring a TV for added entertainment.

The patio doors from the bedroom take you out into a private enclosed patio area with seating, guests can also access a communal south-facing garden space with outdoor furniture and the firepit, where you can enjoy a drink at the end of a long day.

A walk into the heart of Wark will bring you to the Premier Convenience or Wark Post Office, where you can stock up on homely essentials, as well as the Battlesteads Hotel & Restaurant, which serves hearty pub grub for when you fancy taking a break from cooking.

Two minutes away you can discover what the night skies have to offer at the Battlesteads dark sky observatory.

A brief car journey south of your lodgings will bring you to Hexham, where you can find the lush greens of Hexham Park, the Hexham Old Gaol Museum, as well as the Corbridge Roman Town.
